I have seen some houses that give me an eerie feeling, as if some evil lurks in there. Just the look of it, (the way the windows are situated) makes me feel afraid to go by it, so I run past it. Have you ever felt that way?

Yes, I have been in houses that have really creeped me out only to find out later that either a murder or suicide happened there and no one told me.

Even if there is no basis for you fears, don't dwell on them. Avoid going past the house if it affects you badly. Look for the houses that you get a good feeling from.

Not the way a house looks.

But the way it feels. There are demons in houses where the inhabitants invite them. They are invited when people do cult activities (like oijah boards). Demonic music is playing. Or if someone is abusing a child there. Or if there is pornography in the house. There could be a number of reasons. Basically the people there aren't right with God. In the case of child abuse, then God is with the child & there are special guardian angels on assignment.

Also by location. Where there are murders happening. Etc.

Then also, the Lord might be warning you to stay away of the house because there is a threat to you there.

And it would be the look if the look triggered a recal memory of a horror movie that you sensed demons in.

Also just recalled, The curse on Longview. Because the design of the city had some satanic symbolism. And it was pointed out in the newspapers a few years ago.

Yes, but mostly it's their conduct. I live in a lily-white area in Oregon infested with mostly demon possessed people. They don't know they are, or they might, but they don't care. They are possessed. Never seen racism this bad in my life and no matter who I complain to even having filed lawsuits they sabotage my cases unconstitutionally and so braisenly. I just have to stand back and look at them and wonder "Why are you behaving this way"? Then it all became so clear a few weeks ago.

Mostly it has to do with conduct, but there are emblems, idols, statues, humans with wings, like that -- that you should be very weary of and not have these things in your home either.

Good point and the answer is simply, "Yes".

I hear comments like yours all the time regarding my house.. It is a colonial built at the turn of the century with columns on the porches and half round windows in the dormers on the attic.. It is also located within spitting distance of a 150 year old cemetery with large Gothic design tomb stones and mausoleums... I often see people looking up at the dormers and commenting that they look like eyes as they pass..

Some architecture lends itself to the imagination of eyes etc. leading the brain to fill in the blanks and make it scary...

As for my house I love it.. We go all out on Halloween and make it as scary as possible including red lights in the dormers (red pupils for the eyes) as well as tomb stones and other decorations for the yard...

But alas nothing evil or scary in the house unless you count me before my morning coffee (I can be down right horrifying before the caffeine kicks in) ... LOL .

On the contrary, I think it's unsettling geometry of old rooms, not anything metaphysical, that largely subconsciously contributes to the "uneasy feeling". That, in tum, makes some people want to attribute this to "evil spirits".

In rooms like this, you usually find that some of the corners don't have perfect right angles at the corners. Try using a carpenter's level to check this. Also, trapezoidal structures in general tend to give the same unsettling feeling because of the imbalanced look of the trapezoid.

The reason why you have that reaction is because your brain chemistry is virtually the same as the brain chemistry of our ancestors. In their day they had to worry about going into, say, a dark cave because there could be an animal lurking in there that would kill them.
Basically that sensation you are getting is a hold over from the past. If you realize that you as you are experiencing this feeling you will suddenly no longer be afraid of the dark.

I don't believe in evil spirits. Your reaction is based on your presupositions. I spent a very comfortable week in one of the most "haunted" hotels in the United States - no weird feelings, no unusual sounds, no mysterious apparitions. Just great ice cream.

Yes! I don't feel comfortable driving certain streets, also feel as if EVIL must have happened on those streets.
I have had and still do have the same feeling about AREAS, in my life, NOT just houses!

No. For me, the houses may look spooky, but I would have to enter it to find out. Usually, you feel cold inside. I can feel spirits, but not see them and I would have to enter the house.

You are blessed. You can feel the spirits just by passing by the house.

Maybe when I was 10. How a house looks has nothing to do with "spirits".
