You are soooo Wrong. Of course we aren`t antithetical to science.
What a weird thought process you have.
Science is Awesome and, GOD did, after-all give man the brain to acquire wisdom. Knowledge is foremost in the bible. It never tells us to bury our head. It tells us to seek and search and research and isn`t that what scientist do?
I assume that you think that the science world has it all figured out, Well, I hate to remind you that science is an art and it certainly has made some big boners over the years. I mean let`s just check into leeching and bloodletting as well as the world being flat. And etc.
I really think you should do a little more research into what Christians ACTUALLY do believe, BEFORE you spout of which you obviously know not.
Seek and you shall find the answers. And the truth shall set you free..
Peace & God bless from Texas <><

Since when are Christians "antithetical" to science?
Do you have any idea how irrational your question is? If science applied your logic (confusing particulars with universals), we would all be living in the stone age.

That's a stupied question...just because we believe in creation does not mean we do not think some since is correct.
With your way of thinking we would not use
1. doctors
2. medication
3. Telephone
4. Electric
5. Natural gas
6. Cars
7. Paint
Come on and get realistic and stop being a Troll.

Your question is a straw man. You assume Christians are against science. When in reality some of the best scientists are born again Christians. I'm going to guess you mean we are against science because we reject evolution. That doesn't make you less of a scientist and in fact in many cases I believe it makes you a better scientist because macro evolution is bad science. Check out the resources below.

I am a bible-believing christian AND a scientist (Ph.D. life/medical sciences no less).
Nowhere in the bible does it command that we not seek to understand God's creation (which is what science is about),
It commands that we love God (which his creation can help us do) and love people (part of which should be figuring how we can heal the sick ...)

If you actually bother to look into it, you will find the arguments for creation are far better than the arguments for evolution. Read a person who believes in creation, not the damning arguments against it by 'scientists.' Jesus created reason and rationality, and He made dang sure they pointed to Him. He gave us a brain, He wouldn't expect us to ignore it in the one decision that is of any true importance in life.

So that means they can't live in a house, use a stove, microwave, drive a car...
No I do not think they are hypocrites as long as they are using it for good and not using it for porn or other sinful activities.

That is a generalization. I'm definitely not anti-science. Not every domination of Christianity is right wing.
