A few years ago, I got saved, and thank heaven!
But since I started questioning some things in the religion, I have learned LOTS about Christians.
- they love their religion, not people.
- if you don't worship like they worship, you need "healing"
- they hate discussing the truth, they like to turn a blind eye to the true origins of the Christian religion.
- they ALL say "I'm not religious" but they almost all are.
- they are lazy. Keeping the Bible will requre some EFFORT, so they say "Paul told us not to worry about anything".

I agree. The "gospel" being taught in the churches lately is watered down and poisoned. The reason they love their religion is because it makes them feel better about themselves, running from the truth that they truly don't know God and are just going through the motions. They hate the truth, (this was prophesied to come) because knowing the truth would mean they would have to give up what they are doing and it's just too hard to do! It's just easier living the way they live. Yes, lazy. They want someone else to tell them what the Word means. Then they use the excuse when they don't know, that only a bible scholar would understand so why try. Theyv'e got enough on their plates to take the time to really study. But at the same time they will follow what the churches do, like celebrating a feast for some person made into a saint. The Word is specific which days to keep holy and which feats and festivals to observe. The Torah is specific and people ignore it. But even without being born again or saved, it would do them no good to follow any of it because that will not save them.

Not all are like that, but usually it is those who like hearing themselves talk yet do not live their religion who give Christians a bad name. I had a friend once who tried to convert me (I was Christian at the time) and said I didn't have a personal relationship with Christ. She pushed so hard to "save" me that she pushed me right out of her life. I do not appreciate people pushing their religion on me since I walk my own path which is right in my heart and soul. I will not push my beliefs on others and respect their beliefs. For me there will always be more than one path and I will not force another to change their path to suit me. I live my religion... I wish others would do so as well.

Actually not all of them say this, but...
>> they ALL say "I'm not religious" but they almost all are.
This is the one that really kills me. "Oh, I go to this local church every week, and I believe in the Bible literally, and I believe Jesus Christ is the son of God and died for my sins. But oh, please, don't call me religious! I don't have a religion."
I think this comes from the fear that calling it a religion somehow trivializes it, or the fear that it's something that can be categorized like all the other religions. Why is this? I see no shame in the word "religion". The definitions of words don't change just because you might not like some of the stigmatism.

Religion is for people who don't want to go to hell. Spirituality is for people who have been there, and don't want to go back. Ghandi said something like "I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ." I think most Christians misinterpret the Bible by ascribing Christ's words as referring to himself, e.g. "I am the way, the truth, and the light". I believe that when Christ spoke these words, he was speaking FOR God, not AS God. If you read the Bible, he never refers to himself as the Son of God, but only as The Son of Man. It is the others who proclaim him as the Son of God. Just some food for thought. Christ was a great person, but I don't think he would approve of alot of what the churches that bear his name profess.

I.E: there is no such thing as a religion
the term religion : means a way of life ,
there fore what ever way you are living your life that is your religion.
Faith is what we actively demonstrate in our lives
Church is a Group of people beleiving in the same doctrines they teach and accept.

Isn't it funny how you're one of them?
For the most part, I have found all of your statements to be false--except for the ones that think they know better than everybody else. Unfortunately, these are the more vocal of the group, always going around posting on the internet about how bad the rest of them are.
It's a shame the nice ones can't get a word in edgewise.

My thought is that although you use the generic term "Christian," you are describing Protestant, Evangelical Christians specifically. Catholics don't deny that they are religious, and don't believe that we don't have to worry about our behavior. Those are peculiarly Protestant notions.
