help! i feel at my company i always work and cover for other people whenever they leave on vacation. i can't say no and i always try to help but i feel i am doing too much and i dont want to be taken advantage of. i can handle my workload even if i go away and i don't need and don't even like anyone working for me but i really don't like working for others as well. advice??

First, it would've helped if you stated what you do and maybe your position in the company. But anyway, If you have a managerial position, then maybe you can talk to your supervisor and let him/her know you feel that you're being taken advantage of. If you are being given this work from your boss however, then it's really not much you can do. You can still talk to them, and say you feel it's unfair, but think about it- how will your boss see you? Not a team player-

Maybe you should re-consider your position in the company- it seems that you just don't want to work more than you have to, and that's not a very marketable attitude. To get to the top, you gotta work from the bottom- sometimes that means having to do others work-

Look at it this way, when promotions come around, your boss will consider you much more than the other one who passed up doing extra work when necessary.

Don't ya quite respect a enormous ego, no longer. Additional Details three hours in the past me egotistical i believe no longer ! you may have under no circumstances obvious me cross complete tilt in paintings. i will load a whole pass with 7 tonnes of rubble in two hours non give up unmarried passed with not anything however a shovel and a ninety litre bin. My co- employees quite are just about crap! I relaxation my case!

may not happen this week, but consider getting in a position to work for yourself eventually - although, remember, in that situation, you are not only the worker, you're also the salesperson, admin, etc., at least at first. otherwise, maybe try to find a job where the people fit better with you.

always find new job first prior to quitting your current one, though!

well guess its sad. but you can't own your own company. just keep working do you ralize how many don't have job? well there are alot out thee and they would die for your job so i would just grit and bear it.
