I'm looking to get a new lens for my Nikon F5 camera and was wondering which high powered zoom (300mm+) lens you would recommend for the highest quality, meaning clarity and color definiton, landscape shots from my camera thanks!

The suffix "-scape" does imply a "broad" view, but people think of this differently. That's why I put this up:

Melissa, check this out and come back and "add details" (You'll find that option by clicking on the pencil icon under your question.) and tell us what YOU are interested in - something like the 25.5 mm end or more like the 450 mm end. THEN we can give a recommendation for the kind of lens that you are actually looking for.

yeah im with the Ace. usually wides are for landscape, as far as clarity etc, a sharp lens/ tripod and a fine grain tranparency film is the answer, velvia is great for greens
