You can only join if you are a US citizen in your case. A visa is not a green card and is not permanent. It is a wonderful thing that you feel so patriotic to a country which legally is not yours but there are going to be people who wonder if there is an ulterior motive for you serving in the US Army. Apply for a green card. Talk to the Army recruiter and see if they can do anything to speed up a long process that most of the time takes years. My only question to you is why would you not serve in Romania's Army since that is your country. Unfortunately an official diplomatic visa won't work. Talk to a recruiter and apply for a Green Card.

Actually you need to be a legal resident and you are not sadly the reason for this is security to prevent u from getting training and bouncing out. I've seen many get denied so yea although restrictions have relaxed that is not possible you need a green card first you might have to wait on that dream of yours.

Yes you can as long as you have a green card and are able to live and work legally in the U.S. Of course you will need a High School diploma and be qualified.
Good Luck

No. Although it is true that you do not have to be a citizen to join the armed forces, you do have to be a legal resident of the US.
I would do my homework and check with a local recruiter, but I am 99% sure you will not be able to join.

It is possible to join the US Army without being a citizen. You should go talk to a recruiter and see what you can do/ have to do to join. He/She should be ble to tell you whatever needs to be done or at least find out for you. Good luck!!
