Background info:
My dad always tells me this story about when he and mum were first married and they (i know this sounds ridiculous but my dad swears blind this is true) went to a village in Devon in the 70s to find it completely flooded with the villagers walking around not caring about all the water... when they went back next year no-one knew a thing and church records show the village hadn't flooded since Victorian times so dad believes they somehow saw the past....

ANYWAY:
Dad always says, "seriously, ask mum" but whenever I do she's never wanted to talk about it or says it never happens or generally gets funny about it and she's never one to talk about weird stuff - she's a cheeky Cockney not a spiritualist!!

BUT:
She recently confided in me that she woke up one night in our new house about 2 years ago to see a young girl with blonde ringlets standing over her bed watching her, and she said she's seen orbs and stuff - she knows how ridiculous it sounds and so do i...

... but I know her and she is absolutely telling the truth. She said that her and I once both saw the same black figure shoot across our old living room when I was a baby.

Just to let you know we're not fruit loops, we're more than normal and I guess rather than wanting your answers I just wanted to share this.

Quiet Buck: the orbs she saw, there were 2 together, a big one and a little one, hovering at the end of the bed, it was dark which is why she said they were black, looked like bubbles, with a little square of reflection in the surface and everything. They shot off down the hallway.

Don't worry about it -- there are many people who have seen ghosts. Your mom has a gift for seeing spirits, and if it doesn't bother her, it shouldn't bother you.

I've lived in two haunted houses over the years, including the one that I grew up in. The second one was particularly interesting: I had someone corroborate my experiences before I'd even mentioned them to anyone.

(Long story short: my apartment building was constructed on the site where a Victorian home had been destroyed by fire. Both the apartment house and the Lutheran chapel next door were haunted by the original home's owner. Common experiences were the transparent apparition of a man in Victorian era clothes and seeing "smoke" drifting across the ceiling where there was nothing to cause it.)

Trust me, your mom's experiences are NOT ridiculous to those of us who've had similar things happen. It's perfectly normal, and there's nothing to be concerned about.

Well, I certainly dont think you or your mum are fruit loops. I do believe that there are spirits among us. Usually they are just stuck in this plane of existance---cant move on. Most are harmless, and are just looking around, or need to find answers.

I am what others call a "Sensitive" ( sort of like what some call a "medium", only a bit different. Being a Sensitive, is being able to feel when the spirit in in the vacinity. I have had several experiences with these. It was both scary and exciting at the same time.

Nothing to be afraid of. If the spirits get to bothering you, you just stand your ground, and tell them its your house, and if they dont behave, they will have to leave!

My Mum, had one that would turn on her bed light. Mum would turn it off, and 15 min later its back on again. She brought it to my attention, and I told her the same thing---tell them " If you cant behave, you'll have to leave!" She told them, and hasnt had any problems since!

It's not possible. She is deluded and is pulling you in. If she really believes it, that doesn't make it true. Her believing it will probably convince you, but her belief is not evidence. The village thing could have been a mistake and must have been. The girl with gold ringlets was an awaking hallucination. Orbs are positively fake. A friend of mine sees them, too, but that doesn't mean I believe it. If you choose to believe it, it's because you chose to for some reason. Many people like the excitement and attention it brings.

We experience what we experience. There is absolutely no need to go on the defensive nor to feel you have to defend nor explain the things you obviously have felt or seen. People who see UFOs will simply tell you it happened. They don't feel the need to make a case for it each time. All you wind up doing when that happens is arguing. Don't allow society or individuals to put you on the defensive about what has happened to you. Your mother's impressions are right on, and only she can provide the extra continuity to the events and fragments of phenomena she has witnessed. They are probably as clear in her mind as two minutes ago. That is the immediacy of this kind of experience. Some people have no understanding of this stuff at all. Some people get scared, and even other people are just plain rude when you tell them your experiences. I usually step back or walk away politely so they don't embarrass me further. There is no reason for you to be fabricating this stuff. Just quietly enjoy what you are shown. When you keep it rather quiet socially it tends to summon more of the same kind of experiences.

That's cool. Nothing wrong with her seeing ghosts, spirits, orbs, etc. Cool story about the village and the flood though - damn cool.

Doesn't matter the religion or profession - some people see what others cannot. Not ridiculous to me.

I would Guess your getting some flak for your story, happens. This flak is about people having narrowed physically grounded views or Highly Grounded in this "physical world", but who can blame them.

Reality occures "at once". Time is perceptual and has no validity over reality as it is as a "tool" for measurments and validating our "relaity"; we use it to see forwards-backwards, this is a Vital Concept for our Linear "forward" reality and keeps us in the perspective we agreed to upon entering this reality we call "physical Earth".

To validate this Concept, Try Thinking "sideways" as opposed to forword or backwards and see what happens...

Confusion happens as you have no Concept of That Demension, yet, it is as Valid as any concept of demensional ideology and has been shown as Mathematicaly sound.

With the above in mind Consider that "Time" Again is perceptual, occuring at "one time" and Your limitations, or the limitations of Most pjunpoint your focus "Right now" to the very micro second, Viola, this is your reality!

Again, your agreement prior to entering this "reality"; ie, you agree to see what you agreed to and Not see beyond this realm in principle.

What's a possibility with Mum, and others, is they are Expanding their very Consciousness and seeing "other times"; Occam's Razor. Mum is seeing reality "expanded" by her "unfocused senses "moving out" and beyond what most in this realm possess as "normal senses".

Consider that "all things happen at once" as reality, entertain me...

"All times" being like a CD, OR DVD...MUM'S consciousness being the pinpoint lazer (or needle on an old record) being the "norm" of focus; simply put, Mum's needle jumped, skipped a little and she "saw backwards" a century or two.

I once read an event that occured Near, I think, Glasgow around 1975 or so...someone was walking along a fenceline and saw someone walking towards him wearing 17th Century clothing; the man dressed in 17th Century garb then passed him with a look of complete surprise and appeared startled; the man then vanished as a "Ghost"; the person from 1975 said he was startled also, very suprised also and said after it was all over that the other person probably saw him as a "Ghost" also and his interpretation was that "time brushing by" for a moment...

Ghost seeing ghost...so, isen't a "Ghost" about interpretation?

Interesting.

She just may be more 'sensitive' to this phenomena than others. If you see, or 'feel' a situation, like the flood you spoke of, I have often heard it called a 'wrinkle in time' where something so traumatic happened at that location that it is stuck in time and someone sensitive to spiritual activity may actually 'see' what is going on as if it were happening then.

My mum also she is a bit spiritual but recently the ghost thingy was getting way over the top.....and it turned out she had very bad UTI infection which has a tendency in the more mature to cause hallucinations etc ..so get mum checked its very common in the more elderly and sometimes even gets mistaken for dementia ..Mum was seeing alsorts even woke me up to ask for her malaria tablets in her hand bag top of wardrobe seeing she was needing them and her and dad were in the war ..was very convincing ..but .never happened in her life time ..so take note ..but some people are spiritual and most of the time 6th sense kicks in .... but UTI s everyone ..note ... cause mayhem with the elderly ( UTI ?..urinary tract infection)

I believe you, because I grew up in a haunted house. I would see heavy boxes floating, hear footsteps on the stairs (but no one was there), heard someone crying (in the basement, even though no one was down there) seen things flying across the kitchen (even though no one was in the kitchen) felt someone touch my shoulder to console me after a nightmare (when everyone else was in bed) and even seen her. She was dressed in an antique wedding dress, and had golden blonde hair.

I don't go into cemetaries, because I hear people whisper "come and join us"

"My mum sees ghosts and god help me I believe her." - I am glad to hear that. Nothing impossible in what you say. You will probably be blasted with harsh words, but they are not your family members or friends so don't listen. Stand by your mum, and dad - over strangers.
Your maybe worried about these gifts being passed to your children? A gift from GOD is nothing to worry about, just use any power with compassion.
Peace.
