all the vet techs on here, thinking they know everything and all they get are thumbs down. people ask simple questions and want simple answers, is that so hard?

i did not mean to offend anyone. just some of the answers i see are to complicated. i know all that are in vet school are serious about their work, thumbs up for that. it's the ones that honestly don't know what their talking about that gets me. and really when some one asks a question and they don't understand vet terms, could you please talk english? i have even said that to my doctor.

just because you went to college, doesn't make you an expert. i know plenty of people that have graduated college and their still stupid.

Vet techs aren't that bright. Sorry, but it is true. If you have a question, ask a breeder or a vet. Not a vet nurse, not a vet tech, not a "rescue volunteer". Some of the answers I see here are just scary.

I'm not a vet tech and I get plenty of thumbs down at times. Does it bother me? Not all.
Anytime I give an answer I am giving it because I have been there and done that! Most of what I know is from what I have learned over the years of having dogs. I also have a bit of medicine training, as I was a pharmacy tech for a few years. So when someone askes about certain meds I can give info on them........and yes vets use the same meds as we take and usually for the same reasons. If I don't know something, then I don't answer it. I'm not one to give out false info. If I should happen to give out something that is not quite accurate or someone thinks it's not....they are more than welcome to contact me. If they are right and I did make a mistake.......great........as I can learn from that.
Alot of people give thumbs down because they don't agree......not because the person who answered was wrong. And that's fine as we are all entitled to our own opinions and beliefs.

Yeah.. that makes me laugh too.. Cause it's silly immature kids that are giving the Vet Techs the thumbs down all the time.. Rather than reading their answers and learning something for once.. They just click down and thumbs down everyone.. Haha.. Real funny...
I never have seen anyone ask a question and say ' I am an idiot, please give me the simple version ' Who wants the simple version?? I think people want the right answer...

There is no simple answer to some things when you cannot physically see the dog.
If someone is asking what is wrong with their dog. There is no simple answer.
Symptoms vary in dogs.
Also you have to know details and people don't always give details. So there is no simple answer.
Dogs are complicated and so is their health.

I have read some of their answers and they sound right to me.
sometimes you won't get the answer you want but that doesn't make it wrong because you don't want to here it!
why do people ask questions when they don't want except the right answer?
anyone can give a thumbs down!!

The direction of the thumbs of babbling boobs has little effect on the fact that I am a college educated and experienced veterinary technician, and most of these fools can't even spell 'veterinary' or 'technician'. I know I'm right. I can't care what a bunch of Romper Room rejects and 6th graders think. My only goal is to provide helpful, educated answers in the hopes that some dog somewhere doesn't die from someone's ignorance.

Are there really vets on here? Lol.
I think the best advice is given from people with experience, not from people who just know the facts.

Maybe you only think the question is simple, which may speak more to the limits of your knowledge than the simplicity of the question.
