i forget where i saw it, but i saw somewhere that this guy was a Christian assassin. is it possible to be a Christian and an assassin? i know most assassins kill bad people and the definition of murder is killing the innocent. Can you be both a true Christian and an assassin?

Only if the word Christian is put into quotes, to show the religious tradition the assassin was raised in, like this: "Christian".

Except for military service and the workings of justice (ie, death penalty), the Judeo/Christian tradition prohibits killing human beings. Assassins, like mercenies, kill for pay. Furthermore, they specialize in the task. The job is contrary to the theology.

No you can't. Assassins are hired killers. They have no motives to kill but money and we know that the love of money is one of the roots of all evil. So Assassins are evil. They are not Christian - no matter how much they may protest that they are. Don't believe the labels that people put on themselves - the ingredients very often don't match the claims.

I knew of someone that was in the navy seals. He got out because they asked him to do something that he was against. He was a christian. I had an idea that it had to do with an assassin. After he left he died about a year later with leukemia. I think if your life is totally submitted to Jesus, no you could not be an assassin.

It's an oxymoron like the oxymora pretty ugly or christian yoga or emergent's almost certain or christian militia. What does light have to do with dark?
Jesus said, "You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.’ But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire." Matthew 5:21-22

Assassins don't kill "bad" people. They kill anyone. How can you be a Christian defender? Defending breaks the rules of your religion. You aren't turning the other cheek and you are promoting violence.
