you say to God "God i am going to do 100 pushups starting tomorrow i promise" then tomorrow comes along and you forgot to do them but a couple weeks later you decide to do them but it is too late but at least you tried

would this be considered blashpemy

No. Technically this is not blasphemy. Blasphemy is the religious word for slander: uttering false statements about God.

What you are describing is breaking a promise you have made to God. I believe that falls under "lying", but I could be incorrect.

uh- no. blasphemy is impious speach or profanity or by mocking holy things etc... you just broke a promise... if it was a covenenant however (ie it was an agreement where God would do something if you fulfilled your end)- there might be some consequences... but with pushups- I sooooo doubt it!

that would be lying or breaking of a covenant.

saying something like g_d darnit (you know the other word) or such is blasphemy as well as saying there is no G_D.
