I am hoping to ship out to basic this week and then out to A.I.T. my fiancee is air force reserve and he will be able to transfer wherever I am if we are married. But I also do not want it to delay anything. So if I sign my contract and wait to get married in between basic and A.I.T. will that effect anything?

Unless you get married on your ship day...it is completely transparent to the Army.

Its not going to change anything. You should have thought about marriage before you signed enlistment paperwork.

If you are married though you would receive a little bit more money. Hint! Hint! But this can be changed at anytime though. So don't worry if you don't get married before you leave for basic, you can change that anytime.

It will not change a thing except that you can make out an allotment for your wife to get part of you pay while at basic.

You could annonymously call your recruiter or have a friend do it for you. Ask the same question then call another recruiter in another area and ask it again.

It won't affect your ship day if you have already signed your contract, but if not, it could be open to negotiation.

Two things to think about.
It's nice to have someone waiting for you.
Who will you be when you return?
