I believe wholeheartedly that he is coming. When? I don't know. I don't know if it's in my life time or not, but even if it's not it doesn't matter, I will love him all of my life whether I go to him or he comes to me.

I beleive so, all the HISTORICAL evidence, Biblical history and, coincidences in premonitions of people from the mayans to the egyptians say says it will happen soon much evidence points to dec 21 2012. i know this sounds a little wacky but many things that arent related to eachother poitn to that date and all evidence points to this century. oh and the bible says Jesus will return and battle the Anti-Christ of whom will be defeated.

hey the parting of the red sea really did happen it has actually been documented and proven scientifically that the ten plagues (or whatever their called happend). TThey found a reason for it and a series of similar circumstances happened in Africa recently(ecxept the parting of the red sea) tho they found out how that happened too. Tho it is prbly exagerated in the bible. many of the biblical stories i beleive not too be true for their were stories added in later centuries after jesus death that is not true or not originally in the bible. The same beasic message still exist tho and the ten commadments are still contact so just follow those and keep your faith and you will be saved.

And if Christianity is fake it is very likely whoever put that story in the bible got it from stories that were past down (because it actually happened.)

(I am agnostic but I am leaning towards christianity, i do follow the ten commandments becaus ei beleive it is the way everyone should be)

Jesus said the generation that comes to existence when Israel is reborn will not pass away until He comes back. The problems in the middle east are coming together exactly as foretold in the Bible, and Jesus gave many signs to look for, which are happening in our time. The one world government and a peace treaty in the middle east by the anti-christ are some things to look out for in the near future.

Those that purport to know that it is soon are in error. Not because that it won't be soon, but because they don't remember the scriptures saying "it will be as if a thief in the night" ...nobody knows. You could, however, make a statement like "we are closer now than ever before" which is a tautology at best. Those who believe in prophecy are of a different ilk than those who profess a talent for divining prophecy from Revelations. I suggest the latter are in need of counseling. Faith in Jesus is all that is required. The rest is empty posturing.

Hello Matt. I find it sad, that so many well meaning people indicate that Christ will return.Christ rose from the dead, and came into the hearts and minds of everyone on this earth. As far as I'm concerned has never left. But that is not to say that everyone has Christ within them.He is there for Christians, and for any that care to follow him.I am not a Christian, but I do support the ideals Christ gave to his people. As far as heaven goes. It is not"Up"(our earth is round), but is a dimension unseen by our physical eyes;that exists with it's own set of esoteric laws.Christ can't come-He never went.

My old chain-smoking/country-music-infused boss used to try to do his own interpretations of the Bible using a Hebrew/English dictionary...he'd read Ezekiel to me from his office while I'd try not to throw up in my desk drawer as he came up with his own ideas: That God and Jesus were coming back to earth in 3-5 years according to HIS translation in a UFO, and that they'd take all the believers with them......alrighty then....well, I'm happy to say that was coming up on 15 years ago and he was REALLY wrong. But then, any linguist knows, you never ever translate direct from the dictionary ;)

Yes, Jesus will return in the clouds. But going to heaven is still 1000 years off. He will rule and reign from Jerusalem right here on this earth.

i believe it but i think he will take the good christians and other beliefs as well the good people. i dont think jesus will discriminate agaist people who were not raised to accept him, i feel there are many good people in this world of other religions and there are bad people so jesus knows who they are, remember jesus loves all of us not just christians.... and yes he will decend back to earth the same way he left at any time but im not sure when or if it will be soon, but the only way to heaven is through jesus and no one else

Well that depends on the quality and the quantity of acid you consume. I'll chalk that one up with the religous ones who were giving me the fliers before Y2K saying that was the end. We are still here aren't we? And what makes you think he would take Christians? I'm Jewish and Judaism existed way before Christianity and Jesus is Jewish. So whos to say if he were to come he would take me and leave you?

Dear Matt

I believe this to be one of the biggest fallacies in Christian theology. This belief is based on John 14:2&3:

John 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

The fallacy is not that Jesus will return for us. The fallacy is in the teaching that He will return for everybody on the same day. The only time Jesus ever looked at somebody and said, "You are going to heaven" was the thief on the cross beside Him. And He did not say, "You are going to die but don't worry about it. Lay around in the grave for a thousand years or so and when I get around to it, I'll get back to you".

Luke 23:42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
Luke 23:43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.

Have you ever attended a funeral and heard the minister say something like, "I know Grandpa is looking down on us now from heaven"? Was the minister just telling a lie to comfort the survivors? I don't believe he was. I believe that, when our bodies are no longer a suitable host for the Holy Spirit lving within, that Spirit returns to God from whom it came. And it doesn't take two thousand years or so for that to happen.

The other part of the fallacy is the belief that we will be bodily raised from the grave. My body is not exactly in perfect condition now. I don't even want to think about the shape it will be in after laying in a casket for awhile. When the body dies, the Spirit emerges free from impurities, disease and disabilities. The thought of having to leave a spiritual body which is free from earthly limitations and climb back into this sack of meat with bad knees, bad eyes and the foot of Frankenstein growing out of my right leg does not exactly thrill me.

So I guess the answer to your question is yes and no. Yes, I believe when this life is over, my Father will come to take me home. No, He won't come for everybody on the same day. But that's a good thing. Patience has never been one of my big virtues.

Best always
Brother Ron

It is absolutely amazing how many people actually believe in that concept, even his disciples believed he would return in their lifetime, I find it disturbing that there is so much religious insanity in the world today, and I can't help but wonder what ever happened to common sense in people today.
