Do you believe in gaurdian angels? And, if so, have you ever had an interesting encounter with one?

Stories would be much appreciated :D
I love reading about Angels and such.
I believe in Guardian Angels, and that they are assigned to everyone.
I've never encountered mine before, but I'm in high hopes of maybe someday that I will.

Oh and by the way, I know they are gunna be jerks that want to say something stupid, but don't try to tell me I'm stupid for believing in angels. I have a religion, just like you. And I'm NOT making fun of you.
Only answer this if you have a story, or something nice and logic to say. Nothing bad please :)!

NATAS - I believe that they are assigned to every human being. Some people just push away their beliefs. Everything happens for a reason, too. Maybe it was just time for the Jews to pass away :/. Maybe some with a strong religion/belief, kept praying, and maybe they made it out alive! Who knows :)!

I was tormented and abused as a child, I SHOULD be someone who questions if there is a God or not, but I don't. I KNOW there is a God, and I know he is always with me.


And I mean to say, that everyone BELIEVES in something. You either believe in God, Satan, the Goddess, Mary, Buddah, or you might even -believe- none of them exsist!

Juliana - Another thing this I would like to add to say to you is that last night, I asked what my guardian angels name was, and the first thing that popped into my head (instantly) was Anne/Ann, and when I looked it up it said this:

(That sounds like an Angel to me right :D?)

OTH_love - Whoaa, thats so scary that she was about to be hit by that truck! I'm happy she got out in time. I read somewhere that a universal law states that Angels/Guardian Angels are not allow to show themselves to us, or speak to us unless we ask, or unless its a life threatening situation.

Yes! My pastor one night was saying we could name our Guardian Angel and he suggested a name like Angelo or something like that - to foster a closer relationship with our Guardian Angel.

I was driving home that night and couldn't think of a name for my Guardian Angel. So, I thought, how about if I just ask my Guardian Angel what his name is. I felt a little silly, but I asked. When I asked, I heard "Ed" clearly in my mind. I thought, Ed, that's funny - I would have never picked that name for my Guardian Angel. But, I thought - okay - if that's what he wants to be called.

Then, I went home, and because I like to write as a hobby, I have a baby names book to help me come up with names for my characters, I looked up the name Edward and it's meaning and it said something like - faithful guardian, special friend. I got the chills!!!

well my mother has had many encounters with guardian angels.




for example.
one time she was driving down the road, and suddenly a voice said get out of the car. she thought it was nothing so she kept driving. after 2 minutes the voice in her head was constantly saying get out of the car. so she stopped and got out of the car. then a big long truck came and hit her car and the car was completely shattered. and there was no way she could of survived.


next. she was driving to California and it was really windy.
she was in the mountains where a lot of rocks were.
for some odd reason the car stopped and right when she stopped a big boulder came tumbling down the hill and if she would of kept going that would have been it for her.
and the strange thing is that when the boulder had passed the car worked.
oh and her guardian angel is her grandfather that passes away back in 1994.
to this day he continues to save her life.

See when I was like four or five I had a Out Of Body Experiance caused by an Arch Angel. I'll tell you the whole strory. Ok so when I was little there was this little crack in my ceiling. And one night I was looking at the crack in my ceiling starting to drift off to sleep. When suddenly i saw a light coming from the crack and the light got bigger and bigger until my whole ceiling was full yellow light. And I started floating up twords the light. I remember being very scared. And so while I was floating twords the light I looked back and I saw my body on the bed. And then all the sudden my room was gone and all I could see was yellow light surounding me. And it was almost like I had become one with the light, it's hard to explain haha. And then I heard this loud voice coming from all around me saying stuff to me. I don't remember what it said. But i couldn't see where the vioce was coming from, it look like the voice was coming from all of the light surounding me. And it was very loud but not angry, it sounded like it was commanding me to do something. And it seemed like I was floating there for a long time. And then everything went black and I woke in my bed. I was very scared because it was such a overwhelming experiance. And I told my parants about it (in my four year old vocabulary) and they just said that it was a bad dream. And I always knew that it was not a bad dream. So when I got older I researched it and found out that it was a out of body experiance. And I talked with a prophet and she said that it was caused by an archangel and then he was commisioning me to a very special life mission. And i'm just wondering what the life mission is. Because if god has assigned me to a life mission, than he would give me the tools or gifts to acoumplish the mission. And so all these gifts (or tools) are starting to pop up. Like my ability to heal and see auras and stuff like that. But i'm wondering how i'm going to use those gifts or tools for God.

I used to be on swim team when I was younger. They put me into a higher level then I should have been put in, and after doing so many laps in the pool, I got exhausted and started to drown. Then, I felt two hands press under my back and lifting me up. I seriously felt hands. There was no other person around me. :-)
My dad was in a plane on 911. When we found out obout the towers we were really scared. As you know all the planes were told to land in the nearest airport. My dad's plane landed in Canada and we live in Pa. He and two other people got the very last car in the whole airport right after they said a prayer to the saints and guardian angels. I firmly believe in the protection of our guardian angels!

when i was in 4th grade i lived on a really steep street, and me and my friend would always race bikes down the really narrow sidewalk, and almost every house on my street has a really rocky dirt lawn, and one day we were racing side by side, and i was the one closest to the street, and my friend got wobbley and turned straight into me, so i flew off the side walk, straight into the street right when a car was coming, so i sharply turned to the curb missing the car buy about 2-4 inches, but then i ram right into the curb and do a ten foot superman (that means i flew in the air ten feet far) and was about to land on this guys lawn that was really rocky and hard, except for one little area that grew a bunch of soft, thick grass, and when i was in mid-air i swear i could feel hands guiding me to the grassy spot, and i landed on my back on the grass unijered, then i open my eyes and my bike landed 2 inches from my head, i wasnt injured or hurt, just a little shook up and frightened

I remember Curtis Sliwa and how he and his guys and gals in red berets tried and are still trying to make things safer for all of us. More power to him. I belief in the guardian angels too.
I remember whenever I had to take the subway home late at night I'd always look for someone with a red beret and get on that car even if I had to walk through a few other cars real quick to get to them. If a guardian angel was on the subway car you always knew you could relax until you got to your station.

Funny you ask, I never used to believe in them until I had my daughter (she's 15 months old). Recently I started seeing these dark shadows in our house, but they had a posistive energy about them, and they didn't scare me. They only show up when she's had a near miss (almost hit her head, fell down the stairs, etc.--toddlers are very clumsy). I am beginning to think it's her guardian angel because everytime she comes close to disaster, it seems like something happens that prevents her from getting seriously hurt. For instance, I sat down the other day on the couch and for whatever reason I had the urge to put my hand under the pillow--I found my husband's pocket knife. My daughter would've found it and put it straight into her mouth. Right after I found it, I saw that dark shadow again and my daughter saw it too--she pointed and smiled at it.

I've had angels I could see play with me as a very young child. I've had angels I could feel, all around me since.
As a child, I was abused, molested, and had no one to turn to. I think I would have died if not for the very young appearing angels who came an played with me every time I was locked in a room alone. They would let me ride them horsey back while they flew. I loved them so very very much. The love they gave to me was ever so much more than I could give to them. I thought they were children just like me, except with wings.

Yes, I cetainly do believe in guardian angels! I will never forget the time, about 6 years ago, that I felt I was being followed by someone in the parking lot of a large store. I had just parked and was getting my infant daughter out of the car when I noticed a man sitting in his car, two spots down from mine. It was during the day, by the way. He was watching me and I heard him get out and follow me into the store. I had a funny feeling about this guy, but just shrugged it off and went about my business of making a quick return. As I left the store, about half way back to my car, I noticed he was behind me again and the parking lot seemed to be empty of other people. I definitely felt uneasy at that point and remember thinking "surely he wouldn't hurt a woman carrying a baby"! I also remember thinking about just turning around and going back into the store, but suddenly this couple just seemed to appear from behind some cars across from the row that I was parked in. I can remember seeing their bodies, but not their faces and felt instant relief! As I was opening my car, the man walked passed me, turned and made eye contact and got into his car and sped off. I remember sitting down and just thanking the Lord for sending those angels. To this day, I believe without a doubt that I saw angels that day! :)

Yes on both questions... My guardian's name is Danjiel. I first heard his voice when I was little. He was speaking to someone and then asked me "isn't that right..." The second time was when I was having a really bad patch with my husband and a LOT of nightmares. At first I heard his voice calling to keep me awake, then he said he would protect me in my dreams. When I went to sleep he appeared in roman armor. His hair and wings were so black that they shone with deep blue in spots. He looked native American in his features. He told the nightmare to go away and never bother me again. He then turned and smiled. I asked his name and he told me. I haven't had a nightmare since!
