I had a pretty intensive ankle surgery less than 2 weeks ago. I am in a cast and was recently given a refill on my pain prescription. My old prescription was Percocet 5-325MG. My new prescription is Percocet 10-325MG. Would this make my new prescription stronger? Please advise and thank you so much in advance.

the new one has 10 mg of Oxycodone (Oxycontin, ox, oc, and whatever clever street names are being used) as a opposed to 5 mg. They both contain 325 mg of acetaminophen (Tylenol) which isn't nearly as fun or profitable on the street.

The new one is much stronger. Be careful with that stuff. Why was the dosage increased? Were you complaining of pain? Was the first prescription not working? I would think 2 weeks post op would call for a lower dosage unless some complication has come up.

If the old Rx was working I would suggest taking only half of a pill. If you are still experiencing considerable pain try alternating 600-800 mg of Ibuprofen (ex. Advil) and half tab of percocet every 2 hrs: IBP-2hrs later perc-2hrs later IBP. If that isn't working the 10 mg might help as it will probably zombify you.

Yes the new one is stronger, the two numbers are the strengths of the two medications that make up the Percocet. The first number is the mg of the oxycodone, and the second is the mg of the acetaminophen

Percocet 10's are just like taking 2 percocet 5's at one time. It's double the dose, and alot stronger when taken in a higher dose. Make sure to eat a little something when taking it, because it could cause nausea. Good luck with the ankle!

Yes.

The 5-325 is 5mg of oxycodone and 325mg of acetaminophen.

The 10-325 is 10mg of oxycodone and 325mg of acetaminophen.

If you don't want so much oxycodone, you can cut them in half but you may need to take more acetaminophen.

Percocet 5/325 has 5 mg of oxycodone in it
Percocet 10/325 is stonger because it has 10mg of oxycodone in it.
The 325mh is equivalent to a single tab of regular strength acetaminophen.

nicely. that's like asking the adaptation between taylenol and Advil... the two Clonazepam and Lorazepam are portion of the benzodiazepine relations. they're regularly used to incorporate short-term rigidity issues. whether they're regularly used for many different issues which comprise epilepsy, delirium, panic themes and different. for sure i'm no longer an expert, whether, from what i've got researched, interestingly like Lorazepam is plenty greater suitable than Clonazepam because it is going to decrease rigidity issues and different themes very almost quickly. whether, it is likewise greater addictive.

Call the drug store where you got it and ask the pharmacist. A pharmacist should have asked you do you know about this medicine.
