It used to look beautiful to me.....now it looks like wild Indians burning buffalo heads and getting drunk on gasoline.......

I think I know too much. I am honestly saved, but now Messianic. The church is really sickening me, with their Jesus, Sundays, Pagan holidays, etc.

Jesus....is a pagan name made by greeks. His name was and is Y'shua.

If the name makes no difference, why does the book say we are only saved by ONE name.......and MANY will be decieved?

Aaron, if you knew Hebrew, you would know the English word for Yeshua is "He saves" or Salvation.

Jesus is made up man!

Thank you for the information (the link). You've given me a lot to think about and to study.

I totally agree that we will never know the scriptures unless we are willing to be changed by them...and I understand the illness you feel when you see Christians who don't take the time to study the scriptures for themselves and instead participate in their own deception by trusting the words of man to show them the way to God instead of seeking God's wisdom directly.

I would agree with your suggestion that the reason you find Christian churches sickening is quite likely a result of your knowledge of the scriptures. However, please consider the fact that many people who seek to come to God through Jesus aren't necessarily deceived, just uninformed. They may not know his true name or understand the scope of his instructions, but at least they are moving in the right direction. Many may still be children, but if they are seeking the will of God through the essential teachings of Jesus, they can mature to a fuller understanding of him.

I accepted the message of Jesus when I was a child and it wasn't until nearly 30 years later that I learned his real name, Y'shua...but I learned it...and if I still call him Jesus that isn't necessarily wrong (though I do plan to study this some more after reading the info at the link you provided). When I agreed to follow Jesus, he didn't magically transform me into a biblical scholar...in fact, I think the bible makes it clear that knowledge of God's will as revealed in the entirety of the bible (including the Torah) is gained by intensive study and practice throughout out our lives. If some Christians are deceived by teachings that lead them to disregard any part of the scriptures as irrelevant, that is sad (like attending a funeral) and the people doing the deceiving will answer to God for their sin. However, I do believe that Christianity set my feet on the right path and that through studying the scriptures and questioning the things I had been taught by necessarily "flawed" human beings, that I have grown closer to God and that each day he draws me closer by revealing the importance of all his teachings, not just the ones discussed in detail by Jesus or worse, by some human preacher/pastor.

I used to live in Israel, so I know all about the crowd that wants everyone saying Yeshua. In Hebrew we said Yeshua. In English it's Jesus, in Russian it's Eesoos, and in other languages, it's different still.

Stop putting bondages over people. Jesus doesn't like that, trust me, YOU ARE DESPERATELY WRONG. Stop teaching false things.

His name is Jesus.

And did you know that your "star of David" is nowhere in the Bible? It's a pagan occult symbol from Egypt, where Israel was delivered from. God hates it. Look it up.

Why should it matter what name we call the central figure(s) of our religion, or even God for that matter, as long as we believe? Does it really make any difference if we call him Jesus, Yeshua, or Jeff? Aren't we all praying to the same God no matter what we call Him?

Some people may argue that we are praying to different Gods, and one religion will say they're praying to the "true" God while all other religions are praying to a false one. But in the case of Christianity, Judaism, and Islam, if there really IS only one God, they're all praying to the same one, just in different ways. Why should God prefer one way over the other--shouldn't He just be happy with the fact He's being prayed to?

Jesus isn't a pagan name. It is simply the English form of Yeshua (which means "Yahweh saves").

Wow, I used to be the same as you when attending the so-called christian church. It was the Holy Spirit telling me to flee from their apostacy, but I hadn't really known the reason until AFTER I followed my conscience, and left.

You may want to start by losing the 'star of david' sign for your avatar. If you have any spiritual discernment at all you will understand me when I say it is a sign derived from Solomon when he was tempted away from God by his pagan wives, and has nothing to do with David AT ALL.

You call it sorrowful repentance that you see one crying in the churches when being prayed for. God is not limited to just one name as there are many names. So it is not a funeral scene and one also can be crying for lost souls as well. True many will be deceived but the Lord already knows who belongs to him.

You are ingorant...or stupid, or confused. With hundreds of languages in the world there is rarely one name that is pronounced the same in EVERY language. HELLOOOOOOOOOOOO, that's why there are Bibles in hundreds of languages...they all same basically the same. Besides, Y'shua is not the Greek nor Hebrew way to spell Jesus. That's either the translated or transliterated way to spell it. You need true religion, not false then you will be satisfied.

At some point in the life of intelligent people they realize that they must seek their own answers rather than listening to others. Perhaps you have transcended the teachings of your church and it is time to move towards your own truth.

You should probably stop assuming you know more than everyone else on the planet, it would be a good start. And stop pretending you speak Hebrew, as I know you can't speak anything more than you get off of Xtian websites sworn to the destruction of Judaism.

You're not Jewish. You're not even Messianic. You're a Xtian who wishes he was a Jew. Don't fool yourself.
