I dont know what it is. It's in my heart (or my left chest if you will) and my shoulder, and I cant sleep because it hurts so much. The pain is connected. I feel it when I breath and move my left shoulder or chest. It didnt start until after swimteam practice today and Im a little scared because I have no idea what it is. Both my parents are unavailable at the moment, and its too late at night to call someone. I cant sleep it hurts so much, I dont know what to do. Advice?

It is never too late to seek professional help - 911 - emergency room.

Although unlikely, it could be something serious, (such as cardiac or pulmonary).

Has the pain become worse, is it becoming worse, if so you know what you should do, it is better to play it safe.

Based upon your symptoms, and your physical activity, it sounds as though it may have been caused more so by over exertion - muscular - possibly even a pinched nerve.

Try simulating the strokes you were practicing earlier to see if how you are moving your arm / muscle causes pain. If so - you should be able to isolate how / at which exact movement you may have caused the injury. If you can do this, I would most likely rule out the serious stuff.

Between all your physical activities I am sure you have used over the counter analgesics before, you may want to consider taking a analgesic - preferably ibuprofen, (try not to take on an empty stomach).
Topically - try a analgesic rub - Tiger balm, Icy Hot, Ben Gay, etc.
REGARDLESS - IF THE PAIN GETS WORSE - SEEK IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION.

Pain in the left chest and shoulder is a symptom of heart attack. Now, I really doubt that you are having a heart attack at your age. Maybe you have a pinched nerve or something.
You can actually call 911 if you are scared, and they will come and check you out. Two friends who had similar symptoms did this; they didn't find any problem and they got better after a little while. The medics said it was a panic attack, which is unpleasant but harmless. It usually also includes a feeling as if you can't breathe, gasping for air, though actually you are breathing too fast.
If you think it might be a panic attack (it's much more likely than a heart attack) try this: blow a bag full of air. Then place the bag tightly to your mouth and keep re-breathing the air in the bag. Don't breathe any fresh air for several minutes. The reason you do this is that panic attacks deplete the carbon dioxide in the blood, which in turn causes the symptoms. If this works, good. If not, maybe you should call 911.

I could pass see a bodily therapist for a higher extremity neuro examination. Muscle role, sensation, and reflexes. Sometimes in worse case situation a herniated disc can intent such signs in which generally this can be a tight muscle that factors a squeeze at the nerves that innervate those places. Do now not fear approximately it, I have it typically myself.

It is never too late at night to call someone when your health is concerned. Call a doctor or hospital right away. Better safe than dead.

If you are serious and are in distress, call 911. If you are just kidding around online, don't call 911.
