If by special, you mean sacred.... Then YES!
If by magic, you mean bulletproof... Then No!
And if by underwear, you are meaning our garments.... then Yes!
As I stated, they are something sacred to us. Sacred, meaning we do not talk about them in such an irreverent manner. So, whether you are asking simply out of curiosity, please understand that it is not a subject we take lightly, and if something were "Special" as you say to you, would you talk about it to just anyone!?
And now, if you are trying to mock us... then we have heard this many times, it is nothing new, and you people need to come up with something more original. It really is getting old!
Whether you are a religious person or not, you should show a little more class, and respect others beliefs.
Thank you!

No we don't wear special MAGIC underwear. There is no MAGIC in our undergarments. Is there something MAGIC about your underwear?
Maybe I'm in a mood today, but I'm so sick and tired of the "magic underwear" questions. It's only been asked like a million times here.

First off-
G we do not discuss how our garments protect us during fast and testimony meeting. Second Fast and Testimony meetings are not a monthly replacement for our service. In fact we still partake of the sacrament (communion for some) and still have our opening and closing prayers and songs. However instead of talks given by members of our ward (congregation) about a certain topic, we have the privilege to go and share our feelings as to how Christ has touched our lives, and how blessed we are to have His Church on this earth.
Now back to the topic at hand. No our underwear is not magic and they don't protect us from danger. If that were the case I wouldn't wear my body armor every time I'm sent to Iraq. They remind me to all ways serve the Lord the best I can, to all ways stay worthy of the priesthood I hold, and to stay modest in my dress and appearance. It reminds me of the covenants (promises) I have made with God, and reminds me of the blessings I will receive if I adhere to my end of the bargain.

Our underwear is a symbolic sacred reminder of the covenants we have made to our Father in Heaven. Is a Nun's clothing magical? Is a Priest's white collar magical? Is the Pope's hat and robe magical? Certainly they are not. The biggest difference with our sacred clothing is that we wear them UNDER our regular street clothing, not outside. We don't wear them to draw attention to ourselves and since they are considered "sacred" we do not go around talking about them publicly as if they were last night's supper. Also, we don't refer to them as "underwear".

special, yes; magic, no.
My temple garments burn just as easily as other articles of clothing. They are not bullet-proof. They eventually wear out. What makes them special is the fact that they serve as a reminder of the covenants I have made. We wear undergarments for this purpose as to not flaunt our religion. I can't believe how obsessed some people are by others' underwear.

Yes and No. They aren't magical, bullet-proof, crotchless or fire-proof. They are sacred to us and not something we talk about with just anyone.

My underwear is no more magic than yours. This question gets asked at least once or twice a week. Here's the deal. Those of us who have made covenants in the temple do wear undergarments that are symbolic, not magic. They remind us of the covenants we have made with God, and therein lies the protection.

Like members of many religious faiths, Latter-day Saints wear religious clothing. But members of other faiths — typically those involved in permanent pastoral ministries or religious services — usually wear religious garments as outer ceremonial vestments or symbols of recognition. In The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, garments are worn beneath street clothing as a personal and private reminder of commitments to God.
Garments are considered sacred by Church members and are not regarded as a topic for casual conversation.
