I like this guy who I think is really cute! But my mom thinks he's really ugly. I showed a picture of him to one of my friends and she gave me a really weird look. I could tell she thought he was ugly too. All my friends are pretty with really cute boyfriends and I'm afraid to show the rest of my friends this guy I like because apparently he's so ugly! I don't want to keep my crush on him a secret to my friends so how can I make them understand my attraction to him? I'm afraid they'll disown me as a friend if they all knew what he looks like, lol.

oh my gosh! i have the exact same problem! the guy i like is really ugly but i just like him for his personality. he's everything a girl would want but my friends don't realize it. be glad you have him all to yourself ;D and it shouldn't matter what your friends think. what i do which makes me feel better is to laugh about how ugly he is before showing the picture. then they will know it will be okay to laugh and admit it without you being mad. just accept that he's not the greatest looking and it's the inside that matters. if anyone does give you a hard time about him being ugly, just give them a piece of your mind and tell them that's not what counts on the outside. it's the inside. they'll go "wow... that really snapped some sense back into me!!" lol good luck!

Everyone has different taste and opinions.
I know you want your family and friends to agree with you and think he's cute, most people want the same, but if they don't...unfortunately they don't. It's more important what you think about him than your family and friends.
If you really like him and your friends are true friends and don't judge someone just from the outside you should not keep him a secret. If you really think he's cute and like him, stand proud and show him off. If your friends are that superficial ...you are better off without them.
Think about it. Would you disown any of them if they had an unattractive boyfriend? If the answer is no then that is because you are a true friend.
If they would disown you then they are not!

It doesn't matter what other people think. If he respects you, likes/loves you for who you are, and all that jazz...then who cares what everyone else thinks.
Hey, just because you think he is cute doesn't mean other people have to. Maybe you have a friend who has an ugly gf or bf. You know.

What your friends think about him should not matter to you. Real friends would not disown you for something like that. If they end up doing that, then they are not really your friends. Do what makes you happy, and dont give a crap about what anyone else says.

it only matters what you think of him that counts its not your mates dating him,,and if he is ugly you wont have to worry about your friends pinching your man will you!! you dont have to make them understand anything aas they get to know him they may see what you see in him... and a guy who is *ugly* asa you put it usually have a much nicer personality than an arrogant good looking guy..give the guy a chance you may miss out on something good cause your afraid of what your friends will say.shame on you missy for being shallow lol

Do looks really matter that much that you would forget about him just because of it regardless of any of his other traits? If you really like him then you wouldn't be afraid to show him off to everyone. I'd say take some time and think about if you do really like him on the inside

I don't think it should matter if people don't like someone because of their looks. Its stupid to judge people by what they look like. Sadly i hate to use this phrase but it is judging a book by its cover. You really know this person and thats why you like him. You like him for his personality and his looks and that should be all that matters. Who cares what other people think. If they disown you for dating this guy then they really weren't your friends. Follow your heart girl.

... how old are you?! 12? Geez... how shallow can you get? Your friends and family are vain for judging the guy you like solely on how he looks, and you're equally bad for believing them and caring more about what THEY think than what you think. More importantly, don't you think it's just rude to talk badly about others behind their backs? I don't think that the guy you "like" would appreciate hearing that you all thought he was "ugly."

Hey he is your bf not theirs it doesnt mater what they think as long as he sweets and treats you well hes a great guy.If you like him it doesnt matter what he lokks like.Only your opinion matters.Ok.Looks are not the only thing that matter.I mean it would be great if they were hot but sometimes the pretty ones are jerks.Not always though.Just remember hes your bf not theirs.

who cares if they think hes ugly! as long as you think hes cute, then it shouldnt matter. some ppl think my boyfriend is ugly, but they have their own oppinions and i think hes adorable!!! besides, it lessens the chance of your friends trying to steal him from you ;-) if your friends disown you for liking someone they think is ugly, then they probably arent the greatest friends in the first place. good luck!
