I'm not a Evolutionist but I'll give it a try. Well it's uh like uh, give me a minute uh. Well uh, get back with me later uh.

First off, no one should believe in evolution, because the theory of evolution is a scientific theory, not a religious doctrine. Belief implies that there is not any natural occurring evidence that can be looked at to support something.

That isn't the case in evolution. Evolution relies on three things that are about as true as anything in science can be: 1) all living things reproduce; 2) mutations (harmful, beneficial, and those that have no effect on the organism) can and do naturally occur in individual organisms; and 3) the mutations can be passed through a population by means of natural selection. That's it. There is nothing about anything supernatural, because science doesn't investigate the supernatural, primarily because it can't be falsified.

Seeing as how the supernatural is pretty much where most religion (and definitely Christian theology) lies, and depends on, religion should have no beef with evolution.

As for truth, the evidence for evolution can pretty much be classified as true insofar as any scientific theory's evidence can be. No one can argue that any of the above three things I mentioned don't or can't occur. If that's all you want to base truth on, then so be it (although that seems a little foolish to me).

Polar bears. Brown bears migrated north and the ones with lighter fur caught more food and lived long enough to make more light colored bears until they branched off into a slightly different kind of bear. That's evolution. Useful differences in known species are more successful and life long enough to reproduce more like them. We used to be able to kill bugs with chemicals that didn't affect us too much but they evolved to the point where we have to use poisons that actual affect mammals worse than bugs. Every time doctors find a cure for something the bacteria or viruses evolve into resistant new strains.

I doubt they can. Science by definition has to be observable, testable, and repeatable. Evolutionists use presupposition, speculation, and conjecture to arrive at their conclusions. They always use words like: could have, probably, perhaps, etc.

The only evidence they can give is examples of natural selection, which they think somehow proves one species can transform into another. They love to give the example of the mutating bacteria. What does is start as? A bacteria. What does it end up as? A bacteria. Behold, evolution proof at it's finest!

First of all, put this in the biology section. Secondly, evolution makes a lot of sense if you actually read into it and get a good understanding of biology. It isn't based on facts, but entirely on evidence. I find that the people who are very skeptical of evolution have hardly read into it and make silly assumptions like "I didn't come from monkeys, that's ridiculous!". Here, visit this website that talks about the theory of evolution. Its a good place to start: www.talkorigins.com

A genetic mutation improves an animal. This mutation is passed on to progeny and eventually wipes out those without the mutation.

This happening over millions of years creating great changes.

Simple stuff that happens all of the time.

Use polar bears as a current example. The arctic hasn't always been frozen and bears of darker colors once roamed there. They died out because the white furred bears had better camouflage and killed prey easier. Now, with the planet warming and the icecaps melting, the darker bears will return at the detriment of the white furred bears.

My point is things ebb and flow and genetic mutations introduced into the mix either gives an advantage to one species or it's snuffed out because it doesn't benefit and is a backwards step.

Genetic mutation is evolution. The bear example was just to show how the different genes are subject to their environment as to whether they are beneficial or not.

Hope that helped.

As you look at the fossil record, you find that the younger layers represent life that is more similar to that of today. As you go back in time, you find that the fossil record becomes less and less similar to extant organisms. By the time you get back to the Precambrian, you find that the organisms are no bigger than a quarter and do not represent any extant families.

Long before the Cambrian, you have only evidence of single celled organisms that stretch back for 3.5 billion years.

Read Climbing Mount Improbable, and The Selfish Gene. After that you will have to be a true believer, or I should say you would except the truth.

Yes.

DNA is the genetic material used to encode and define the development of ALL organism (FACT).

DNA can freely mutate; deletion, transportation, insertion, duplication (FACT).

Mutations are heritable (FACT).

Mutations can be advantageous or deleterious (FACT -- see sickle cell and malaria).

Natural pressures (predators, disease, climate) will "select" those individuals with mutations that give them slight advantages over others (theory).

The fossil record is a fount of evidence. Examining it you will see how more complex organism are found only AFTER simpler organism, as evolution would predict. Further divergent species, such as variations in a bird species, will be found only AFTER the existence of a single parent species. (i.e. The chimps, orangutans, and humans only appeared on earth after the evolution of the first ape species).

Too funny, so how is proof that evolution is any bit false, proof that your murderous deity exists. What exactly is your point?

How about the fact that we share more than 99% DNA with pigs. That they are so similar to us that many people with diabetes take swine insulin to help maintain their disease.

Let's not throw out Gregor Mendel's lifetime of work showing that you can change the characteristics of a peanut plant to promoted desirable results. BTW, he was a monk. That is over 50 or so years by one man. What about 100,000 years... Better survivable traits would statistically have a better chance of living, right!!!
