Please understand that this is a choice. Do not be judgemental. I understand that some people see it to be a disease, which it is. But it is something I have personally chosen. The next time you to choose to drink alcohol, compare. You are ruining your body just as much as I am mine.

i get RUDE comments to ALL my questions. if u smoke or drink, well dont tell me that this isnt safe. look at urself.

You don't look anorexic to me. Maybe it is just the weird angle of the photo, or maybe that was before you lost the weight.

Hey I understand why nobody would want people to be rude to them, but if you are accepting anorexica as a decision than you are sending out a wrong message to a bunch of people. I mean what if some young girl reads it and is like "oh anorexia is a choice, so I guess I could become anorexic until it became dangerous, because I want to be thin".

So rude comments, are people's way of saying "hey we don't approve, please no one listen."

If you really have questions maybe you should seek therapy, or an eating disorders help group. Anorexia isn't something to play around with, I've seen friends suffer from it, and even when they get over it, it's still affecting them (one of my friends now can't have children, and another let the disease get her immune system so weak from not eating and overworking her body with exercise she ended up getting really sick and almost dying)

But honestly how did you expect the general public to react "oh you are anorexic and want to lose weight, well here's some tricks how". Maybe you should realize that them being rude was out of concern, because sometimes that's what it takes to get a point across.

I do not hate you. It takes a heck of a lot for me to hate somebody. Also, I find it even more difficult to hate whom I don't know.

Prior to my pregnancy, I did drink. Not every day. Not every week. Yes, I would have two or three beers at a time or two or three glasses of wine. (A bottle of wine is about two and a half glasses for my husband and me.) However, the alcohol DOES NOT take over my life, consciously or subconsciously.

Addictions are not something one can easily turn on and off. If an alcoholic could just quick drinking, Alcoholics Anonymous would not exist. If people could just "choose" to be anorexic, anorexic recovery therapies would not exist.

I'm sorry you have chosen to destroy your body, your health, your life and the lives of your friends and family. I have stated my opinions and since we very likely do not know each other, there is noting more I can do, but pray.

Why in the world would you want to CHOOSE anorexica? That is the stupidest thing I have heard all year. You can not compare drinking alcohol to anorexica. Binge drinking is bad but not nearly as detrimental to anyone's health than an eating disorder. Instead of starving yourself why don't you just eat healthy, organic, unprocessed foods. At least your body would be getting the necessary nutrients it needs to sustain life. There are food groups for a reason, our body needs certain minerals and vitamins only found in food to remain healthy. And I don't smoke, but even a smoker has enough sense to eat once in a while...their lungs might be black as night but at least their brain functions correctly because of food!

i don't smoke or drink or drugs or anyt other stuff like that btw
i really don't know what to say to you.... i've done reports on anorexia nervosa.. it's pretty tough disease to deal with
it not only hurt the person in question but the family and friends around them... what you are going through is very difficult and i feel for you.. but you should seek emotional, mental, and physical help. and who hates you b/c you are anorexic? that's not a legitimate reason to hate someone...
my friend was anorexic btw and she had cariovascular problems at the age of 21. plz. there are people out there that care for you.. at least do it for the poeple you love.. if not for yourself

Some people are going to hate no matter what.... if you have a disability on the outside that people can see, they will pick up on that.... doesn't matter if you're fat, skinny, alcoholic, drug addict, smoker, black, white, whatever.... some people just hate regardless. It's a way for them to feel better about themselves ~ it's sad.

Dis-concern yourself with haters and surround yourself with positive people who love you regardless. People who want the best for you.

They don't hate you. Wouldn't you say something to a person who says "I'm drininking a glass of vodka every evening. It's my choise. Because it makes me relaxed." You'd probably say "Dude, more power to you, but keep in mind you're ruining your liver and eventually you will die painful death because of that." Alcoholism is a choise too, in a way. Yes, we understand. Some people fall ill, some people chose to be ill.

Justify it all you want, but this isn't a choice. I know it makes you feel better to think it is but you're just fooling yourself. It's like a guy I know that at 39 is still living at home but he says it's "his choice". Problem is he will never grow up and will stay a man-child for the rest of his unnatural life.

The idea is you're sick and you need help, and having the occasional glass of wine is so much better for you than what you're doing.

People don't hate you because you are anorexic, but they feel sorry for you because it is an illness. I hope you don't hate fat people because that is their choice. I also hope you don't hate short or tall people, that is not their choice but rather just the way they are. People don't like people who drink excessively or smoke because that infringes on our safety, as in drunk driving or second hand smoke. Yours is the least offensive since it effects you and not us. Thanks for not eating, especially the chocolate and saving it for the rest of us.
