My parents bought me a car, my computer, my video games, my furniture, hopefully a new computer. I barely buy anything out of my own pocket. Everyone else i know have jobs, and buy their t.vs, or cars. Sometimes i feel like im spoiled. I'm 16 btw. and no job.

hehe, yeah, thanks. I do care, and i have rejected being paid for helping out. I always help my mom out, especially when she was on bed rest. I'm just overreacting i guess. my parents are just being grateful.

Wow, brutal. And how did lazy get in there? I do plan on getting a job. And my work load at school has a bunch of Advanced Classes. Lazy, i am a little, but thats only my room that i slack on. I do my work. Cut the grass, when it snows i shovel the drive way, and do anything my parents ask of me.

Yes, you are spoiled. I have two nieces in the same situation and I cannot stand how they take advantage of everyone. They do this because they have been given everything and don't understand how special it is to acquire your items yourself. It feels good to be able to buy yourself something and spoil yourself. I think you are headed in the right direction by asking if you are spoiled. Hopefully, your parents are teaching you the value of money and how you should not expect other people to buy you things all the time. Maybe you should look for a job to help fulfill your life. If you don't get a job, maybe you could donate your time helping others who are not as fortunate as you and maybe you will learn that material things (in the long run) do not matter as long as you have happiness, peace, and love. All the best.

The fact that you recognize that you may be spoiled is a great thing. Many spoiled people take everything for granted and have a big sense of entitlement. You are mature to understand the fact that you are lucky to be in that situation. Hopefully you appreciate it as well. That said, you don't have to be spoiled if you don't want to be. You can turn down some of the gifts if you want to. Once you are working you can save up to buy a big ticket item on your own. I'm sure it will give you a great sense of accomplishment, and of being independent and self-reliant. When I was a teenager, I appreciated everything my parents gave me. But when I saved up my own money to buy my first car, it felt incredible. Good luck to you.

You are blessed that your parents can take care of you in this way. Not everybody has that. The difference in being spoiled or blessed is this:
Do you take it for granted, and expect it. Or do you understand that your parents work very hard to give you this life style.
PS: enjoy it while you got it. LOL

Yeah...you're spoiled. Maybe you should get a job now or maybe when you're 17 just so you can buy things on your own and begin to be independent. Because people will look down on you if you are jobless and have a lot of nice things...

I was in the exact same situation when I was 16 and you know what? It was because I busted my bum in school, pretty much ran the house because both my parents worked full time to save money to put their kids through college, helped to raise my little brother, and didn't come home drunk/high/pregnant. And I continued to work hard through college (while working part time to pay for going out), supported myself through grad school while they put my brother through school, and now have fun treating them to things now that I can afford it. If this sounds like a page in your book, keep writing it!

Your spoiled and your lazy. What you need to do is get a job and get all the things you want yourself that way you will appreciated it more because you were the one who did it without the help of your parents.

Once you start to stand on your own two feet you will learn the value of a dollar and it will be more rewarding.

By the way being spoiled, lazy and gloating is nothing to be proud of, paying your own way is

So yes I would say that your spoiled and your parents play a BIG part in it

you're spoiled because your parents are stupid and need to teach you responsiblity otherwise you're gonna be a bum and take stuff for granted. It is ok to buy your kids stuff within reason but they are doing a bit much. Can't blame the kid cause its your parents fault so enjoy.
