I am cooking shrimp in a crock pot and it turned pink but it is mushy did I over cook it or under cook it, how do I get it to become firm?

Shrimp takes very little time to cook. You definitely overcooked it. There isn't anything you can do to firm up the shrimp now, but keep this in mind for the next time:
It depends on your recipe and the temperature at which you are cooking, but I would add the shrimp into the crockpot much closer to the end of cooking time and NOT at the beginning. Another factor to consider is whether or not the shrimp are raw or cooked and frozen. Raw shrimp obviously would need a bit more time than just warming up the already cooked shrimp.

You over cooked it. You don't cook shrimp in a crock pot. Bring a small pan of water to a boil, drop in shrimp, when they turn pink remove right away. This does not take long!
That's what I had for lunch. Add a little Old Bay for seasoning. Yum

Shrimp is easily over-cooked! It takes little time to cook it. Try cutting the time in half. I put it in the skillet, on low heat, or pan of water, and within 1-3 min. take it out [or as soon as they turn pink]. I don't know what altitude you live at, but that can make a difference, too. Good luck!

u totally over cooked it....shrimp take like 3-4 minutes to cook on the stove...next time u do something with shrimp in the crockpot, cook them on the stove til they just turn pink then add them to the crockpot right before you serve your meal. Jus let it stay in the crock for 5 min. to absorb some flavor.

Over done buy new and try again. Don't feel bad I think we all did it the first time we tried to cook shrimp. Or Bread it and deep fry it.

just don't over cook it... If it is mushy, it has generally been frozen (which wrecks them). Get fresh and steam just until they are done.
