Have you noticed that atheists are taking over the religion and spirituality section? This section is for people with a religion to discuss that religion and to ask questions about it! Not for atheists to come and make fun of us! Just asking: Why are you atheists ruining everything Christians/other religions have to talk about?

Giovanni, you're a perfect example of what I'm talking about. All I'm saying is that I'm tired of atheists saying, "You're wrong! God doesn't exist!"

The atheists tha hang here want to know more about what we have in Jesus

They are curious and are afraid to ask their friends because they think they might be made fun of.

They also try to dog us so we will retaliate and then they can say..."See? Christians are no different than anyone else"...then they can justify...in their minds..... NOT coming around to Christ.

You are wrong. This section is for everyone. If you cannot take different opinions and want to share what you now with people who think differently, then you should go somewhere else. Atheists have all the same rights to come here to talk about issues as everyone else. This is an open discussion column anyway. : )

Just ignore the ones that get under your skin. : )

How else will the unsaved hear about the love Christ Jesus has for them? How do we know who the Holy Spirit guided to this forum to hear Gods truth? I say, let them come and show them love and patience. Perhaps the words they read will not take hold immediately but what God has planted, He shall cause to flourish. I truly believe the Holy Spirit leads some here to hear and find truth. Some may find it today and others may find it tomorrow and some may believe next year. Take myself for example, I have no interest in learning about playing bagpipes. Therefore I do not enter forums for people who want to learn about bagpipes. I only enter forums that interest me, things I desire to learn or know more about. If I want to know the truth about bagpipes, I would enter those forums. Un-believers who come into these Christian forums are really searching for answers, either on a conscious level or an unconscious level. They may not be aware of their motives, but either way God can plant His seed into their hearts and minds. Praise God that we have the opportunity to witness to so many people at the click of a button. The internet is for Gods glory!! God Bless You...Peace.

"This section is for people with a religion to discuss that religion and to ask questions about it!"

Untrue. This is a section ABOUT religion. Saying that only religious people belong in the religion section is like saying that ONLY scientists belong in the science section, or ONLY historians belong in the history section. Atheists, agnostics and nonreligious people have plenty of opinions to add and they are perfectly welcome to be here, just like everyone else.

I'm religious, and don't mind having the atheists here at all. Some of their questions have made me think more seriously about my faith than the questions of fellow believers. Sure, some will make fun of people, but that's what trolls do. We religious people have our share of trolls, as well. Anyway, the atheists are here, and since they are, I try to learn from them. They've got a lot to say. And besides, this is a public forum, and they've got a right to post here if they want to.

This section is for anyone to talk about religion. Belief in a religion is not a requirement.

"This section is for people with a religion to discuss that religion and to ask questions about it!"

Wrong.

There is no requirement to be in R&S, except to discuss religion in general.

If your beliefs can't stand up to rational thought then consider keeping your religious discussion to church.

I don't think they ruin everything. I think they are coming here to find something they can believe in...they cloak it behind mocking and joking, But they are desperate for some truth they can cling to....if only one finds it, it would be worth the hundreds who don't get it. Just keep putting on the truth and answering questions. We never know where a seed was sown on fertile soil.

Atheists are not here to make fun of you. They are here to ask you the hard questions! If you are strong in what you believe, they won't ruin anything for you, but rather offer you an opportunity to strengthen your knowledge of your religion.

The only suggestion I can give is that they are our mission field, and some have actually come to Christ through what they have found on YA. Irritating, but with a purpose.

There are as many Christians on here as Atheists. It's a free world. They can come here if they want and no I am not an Atheist I am Pagan which I am sure you would like to see us all leave as well.
