Why do I love him so much?

i been dating my boyfriend for a little more than a year and he has so many problems. He takes drug, he is in the street every day. i hate that about him, but i still cant let him go. I'm not sure why though. i could have a smart, kind man but instead i have a thug. he respects me a lot. always giving me compliments, texting me just to say I love u. he knows that i could do better but why dont I?

Because you know that underneath that "thug" is a kind person and decent person. You cant let go because you know if you can change him somehow he will be an almost perfect guy. As to whether you can actually change the way he is right now i have no idea what to tell you. However, you just love him because you see who he is deep inside, inside he is not a thug, he a kind hearted guy who just got involved int he wrong things. But there is always hope, as long as he respects you and really loves you, theres nothing wrong, if you love him enough, then you can be strong enough to try your best to change him, and if he loves you as much as you love him, he will try to change for you.

Cause love is blind and can take over your mind. You have to find that level of respect for yourself and move on without him cause eventually he will end up in jail and from what he does could get you in trouble has well, believe me. You have to be strong and think about yourself and the future that I hope you are planning for yourself and realise you can do better
