You can send him standard mail for the first few weeks, after that he may be allowed to make a few calls a week until he is done with basic. You will not be able to call him though, unless there is an emergency in which case you will have to do so through contacts at base or through the Red Cross.

No you cannot. In reception, he will be getting his mailing address (Platoon number, etc) Which will be required in any letter you send him. So more than likely, you will receive a letter from him first with this information. Phone calls are 'sometimes' available for hard working recruits for about 2 minutes. I wouldnt count on this. Your boyfriend will be looking forward to mail calls every day. So write him a lot of letters! Good luck and hang in there.

He can contact you through letters. Phone calls in bootcamp are far between or nonexistant. You have to call home or your recruiter upon arrival at Great Lakes to let them know that you arrived safely.

In reception no, in basic only by snail mail, no email or phones.

he will send you the address. at that point, you can send him cards and letters ONLY.. and any pictures better be something you'd want your sainted Grandmother to see.

NO--if he gets liberty and wants to call you then it is ok. Other than that don't bother him.. He is busy...I'm sure the DI is ripping him a new one...
