There is and old folk tale from India about six blind men that come across and elephant.
One feels the ears and says they are big fans
The second one feels the tusks and says they are large swords.
The third one feels the trunk and says it's a huge snake.
The fourth feels the legs and says they are tree trunks.
The fifth feels the side and says it's a brick wall.
The sixth feels the tail and says it's a rope.

When people focus in on only part of the Bible they come up with very wrong ideas and are blind to entire truth of the Bible.

The bible is one book . People that pick and choose what they want to believe instead of the word as written, are forming their own religion and it isn't Christian.

If you are truly a Bible believer, why do you not come home to the Catholic Church where you can believe and follow all of God's Word?

In Christ

It's all or nothing when it comes to the Lord... and, if they do not have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit or a full commitment to God and Jesus then it doesn't matter which parts they accept and which ones they don't.

Peace be with you :)

What they mean is they only AGREE with part of it. Why would you only believe half of something? I wouldn't devote my life to something and and follow a religion whose sacred text I thought was only partly true. Makes no sense to me.

Cherry picking is fine if you work on a farm, but you either believe ALL or none of God's Word.

It's all or nothing...you cannot be half saved. Like the churches who ignore the book of Acts because they don't want to confront what it says about speaking in tongues..because they know full well, it says, forbid not to speak in tongues...and yet they don't want it in their Church...Sad! People getting emotional about God.?.Heaven forbid it happen in thier quiet little, pristine church.
