What brand makes the best digital camera as far as picture clarity and quality...cannon, sony, ect? I want a camera that I can upload pictures on to my computer below $200.00 would be good enough for me. I also want a camera that are easy to use and come with the computer cable to upload pictures and has zoom features. Thanks in advance.

All of the major brands are good. Choose a brand that appeals to you. Then you have to think about getting a spare battery, what size memory card, if you want an extended warranty, how much you can afford, what size zoom, if you want manual controls, the size of the camera, and a reliable place to purchase it.
The first thing to realize is that almost any digital camera will take good pictures. If more people would read the manual more than once, they would be able to take better pictures. Usually, the person assumes it is the camera when it could be them not knowing exactly what to do. Just give yourself more photographic knowledge by doing more reading on the internet.
I really believe buying a camera is an individual choice.
The person needs to read alot of reviews on cameras so they can decide on the features that they really want and need.
Go to the store and hold them so you can see if they feel comfortable in your hands. If possible, take some pictures in the store to check the quality of the pictures.
I can only give a suggestion of what to look for in a new digital camera.

canon power shot.... u can get them usually starting about 120.. i have an old model one that i paid 180 for and it has a lot of features that other cameras for the price dont have and the newer models are very simmilar and my camera has been great to me :) Also... get one that takes standard batteries like AA and get rechargeable batteries and a battery charger (usualy like 10-15 dollars... trust me on this one!
and they do all of what you mentioned....
also.. you can set it on auto setting and you dont have to go into all the differenct settings if you dotn want to wich willbe easy for a beginner and they pictures come out very nice also

Most all the photography magazines publish Buyer's Guides. Your library should have copies. You can try shutterbug.com and do a search reviews of digicams.
