My cat is indoor/outdoor and about a week ago I noticed he had 3 bumps; when I part his hair, it does not look red or swollen and there is no discharge. It does not seem to hurt him either and his eating habits remain the same. His Rabbies vaccines are up to date and I have not seen evidence of any fleas or ticks.
Thanks.

The bumps are located near his hind legs and stomach.

His bumps or growths are the same color as his skin and they do not appear to have a donut hole shaped center. They feel like overgrown ticks (the soft and greyish kind) and he has no scabs.

You aren't very clear about these 'bumps', but it sounds like they are something under the skin rather than on it. They could be nothing, but because of the possibility of cancer, they need to be evaluated by a vet, and only because cancer is a possibility, the sooner the better. It could be other things, and I am no vet, so I can't tell you all the options, but I have done some volunteer work with a cat rescue group in NYC, and have seen bumps come out to be things that were nothing, but also have seen bumps that turned out to be something. So do get this boy to the vet. Soon.

If they're small, skin colored and not bigger than 1/3 of an inch (usually 1/4 inch) then they could be mast cell tumors, very benign. Many of them have the center sort of pushed down like a donut. The vet will know.

My cat had something similar and the vet removed them, but they were just moles. But it's better to be safe than sorry so get him checked by a vet. Is your cat by any chance a red/ginger cat? Just curious as my cat is ginger and the vet said they have more moles than other colors and freckles as well.
