Sundowners is a term used to refer to the anxiety and confusion suffered by many dementia patients towards evening, and is thought to be brought on by tiredness.
Are you possibly thinking of SADS, a deppression brought on by lack of sunlight?

Sundowner is not a disease in itself. It is a description of what happens to lets say demented patients after the sun goes down. They get very confused and agitated and sometimes need to be sedated. It is just a symptom - not a legitimate disease.
