I am going dove hunting this saturday need to know what choke if any to use in my 12 ga. If no choke is needed will it hurt the threads at the end of the barrel?

You need a choke. Most people prefer improved cylinder for these fast flyers, I personally like a modfied choke. Make sure you follow local laws as here you have to put a magizine block in so the gun will only hold three shells. Use #7 1/2 or #8 shot.

A full choke will do better at longer distances but will be hard to use for a beginner. An improved cylinder will be the easiest to hit with, but it isn't effective at longer ranges. A modified or skeet choke will be your best bet.

use the modified it's a good all around choke, do not hunt without a choke in.
Use 71/2 to 8 shot
I love dove hunting, it's awsome and fun

Yes, you will mess up the threads by clogging them with lead. Use an improved cylinder for the largest patters and probably 8 or 9 shot field loads.

Modified, 1 1/8 oz #8 and NEVER fire that or any gun with interchangeable chokes without one fully installed.
