lets say ur getting paid 55k but u live in a cheap state...but u get offered a transfer for 75k but the catch is its a expensive state....so texas to california....?? would u do it? theres potential for more pay in california and probably better job growth because lets say the major market is in california for the industry ur working i n?

Only if there is plenty of opportunity to move up. Otherwise it is not worth the hassle.
P.S. - I did that. I moved into the "big" city where the cost of living is significantly higher from where I grew up. However, I have gotten promotions that have made it well worth my while.
