I scored a 72 on the administrative part of the line score. But the Administrative jobs only are 10% of the Airforce. I am not happy that the recruiters did not tell me it was so important to study for the Electronics and Mechanical. They told me to focus on Math and English. Now I know why. So they can get their bonus at the end of September for trying to enlist me. Is it a good idea to have them send me up to Tampa Fl. to see if there is a Administrative job for me. I just don't want to leave a good paying job that I don't like to pushing papers for half of what I make. I am a mailman now. Please I would like to have serious people only respond to this. Should I go to Tampa to bargain for a job?

what jeeper said. You can't go in expecting to be able to negotiate. The AF is so overmanned right now that they will only take the best of the best and they will only take you if you are willing to take a job in something they need.

They told you to study math and english,

Because that's whats used to determine your AFQT score.

The AFQT score determines if your even allowed to enlist or not.

You didn't say what you mechanical, electronic and general scores were.

You could always ask to take the asvab test again.

The Air Force isn't like the other services.

They aren't really gonna work with you, you take what they offer, or you walk.

Right now, they don't really care, they don't even have recruitment quotas for their recruiters anymore.
