i always think that guys wait for their dating anniversary, Girlfriends birthday, thanks giving, Valentines day, Christmas or New Years to propose. On what time of the year were you proposed to. I'm just curious to prove my Theory. Thank you for all the answers. They are all appreciated.

I got proposed to in July this year at Niagara falls.We were on holiday in Canada.It wasn't an anniversary or anything,just very romantic.

Mine proposed in January 2006. No birthday, no anniversary, no New Year's event, no Christmas. Just up and proposed. For some, it does work that way. For others, the excitement is more in not knowing and not doing it on a day that would be obvious.

My fiance proposed on April 21. It was not a special date of any sort for us, it's just that it was time to get engaged. We'd talked about it for four months and we were both ready to make the commitment. I'd hate it if I was proposed to for Christmas or my birthday!

my fiance proposed a week before Christmas. We were out celebrating our 4 year anniversary since we had missed being together on the actual day the week before because of finals.

The middle of November. I think, actually, that men DON'T propose on a holiday or birthday, for example, because they want the engagement day to be a special one on its own.

my husband proposed 12/18/04. He is in the military - he came home from some training in CALIFORNIA that morning, and we planned a trip to NYC for the night and he popped the question on the stairs of Saint Patrick's cathedral right around the corner from the NY chrismtas tree!

Mine propose in mid-May 2004. It wasn't on any particular date because he was in Iraq at the time and I was in Japan. He had his dad mail the ring to me in Japan and when I got the box I let him know via email. We had a webcam date and he had me open the box then (I was pretty sure what was inside) and proposed from Iraq over webcam. I think it was the 15th? It was just the date the mail brought the ring.

my husband proposed on christmas but didnt know it was a proposal got a ring and he didnt say a world till a few days later wasnt a normal proposal it was a private one
