They both mean the same thing. The thing about the english language is that there a TONS of words that mean almost the exact same thing. Slim and slender both mean SKINNY.

Just to my way of thinking, they are about the same. They mean a woman without a lot of meat on her bones. Out of the two though, I would choose slim to mean thinner than slender, don't really know why.

Slim refers to boy-slim...as in, so thin you have no curves, no nothing. Example: http://www1.istockphoto.com/file_thumbview_approve/2881174/2/istockphoto_2881174_young_slim_woman_in_underwear.jpg

Slender refers to curves and womanly beauty. Example: http://images.jupiterimages.com/common/detail/09/01/22740109.jpg

Notice the hips and breasts....the main differences between the two. The spaces between thighs is also evident.

Slim is just not fat

They both have no fat, but slender is lightweight. I don't know why so many responders said women, as they refer to male and female equally.

the same thing. it's just like asking the difference between "fantastic" and "wonderful." you can't simply differentiate between the two!
