Debt consolidation/repair/counseling companies are full of scams. They charge you fees up front and trash our credit.

Instead of taking shifting your debt around, work on paying off those credit cards. Make yourself a budget. Eliminate all the extras and put every penny you can squeeze out of that budget on the highest interest rate credit card, while paying the minimum on the rest. When the highest rate card is paid off, move to the next till they are all paid in full.

You can do it within 2 or 3 years and will end up with a good credit history.

i've read stories about those debt consolidators never actually paying off your debt with the funds you pay to them. it may say non profit or whatever but they'll still charge fees.
