Most "Volumizing" Products Just Remove Excess Oil And Leave Little Or No Residue- Making The Hair Look And Feel Fuller. Some Products Cause The Individual Hairs To Swell-Up Giving The Hair More Thickness. Some "Coat" The Hairs And Make Them Thicker And "Stiffer". However, The Best Products Use A Combination Of Actions To Thicken The Hair. If You Want A Lot Of Thickness, Use A Good Volume Shampoo, Follow With A Thickening Conditioner Or Treatment Then Use A "Thickening/Volumizing" Styler And Finish With A Good Hairspray/Finishing Spray. (P.S. Try Combining Products From Different Companies: Check The Label For The Manufacturer. Example: Aussie And Herbal Essences Are Both Made By P&G, So They Are Pretty Much the Same Products, Just Different Packages And Fragrances.)
