I dont know if I want my life to change and all my friends/family are non religous.
Your life can only change for the better. It has well been said that a person is not ready to live until they are ready to die. What that means is, until you've settled the question of your eternal destiny you will always have the prospect of an open grave with a Christ-less eternity hanging over your head like the Sword of Damocles.
The Bible is clear that all have sinned or broken God's laws and are objects of his wrath travelling on the broadway to destruction while trying to find solace and meaning for our lives by pursuing temporal pleasures and by accumulating possessions and by seeking to win the approval of our fellow human beings.
Jesus came to save us from our sins and to offer us new and true and eternal life by reconciling us to God and giving us the right to be called His children. Ask God to give you the gift of faith and start reading the Bible and if there is a good Bible teaching church in your area then start showing up and learning what being a Christian is all about.
If you want to hear some great practical and relevant and sometimes humorous preaching then check out Paul Sheppard @ http://www.oneplace.com/ministries/Enduring_Truth/archives.asp
He teaches the main and plain things about Christianity in an easy to understand way that is very encouraging. Also check out the Answers button and the Get Saved button @ http://web.express56.com/~bromar/

DON'T LISTEN TO THESE FOOLS! You are doing a great thing, searching for YOURSELF. You don't need the opinions of any old fool in here, not me, not anyone. However, sometimes what they say against my opinion does make me dig deeper until I find what is really true.
If you are going to search for the Truth, I suggest you read the RIGHT sites, not some blasphemy spewing hate site.. Make sure you can understand the message being said in the Bible, and remember, read for YOURSELF. If you see a verse that looks weird, go to www.biblegateway.com and look at what else is written before and after it. It will clear up what they say, and you can make your own opinions. It's a long, long journey, and it's going to be rough, and you are going to get lost, have questions, and wonder, but you can do it. I'm still on my road. Oh, and btw, evolution and the Bible do work well together.
Good luck!

If you're miserable and can't do what you want then you might be a christian.
If guilt is your closest friend you might be a christian.
If you go to church every time the doors are open you might be a christian.
If you can't do anything on your own without god you might be a christian.
If you don't take credit for anything good you've ever done you might be a christian.
If you panic when family members seem to have just disappeared you might be a christian.
Reality check. You don't need this. Live your life your way, forget the guilt and be happy.

True Christians believe Jesus is the son of the most high God, they obey his teachings in word and deed. Jesus said 'you are my diciples if you do what I command you'. Also see John 13:35.

You will know you are christian when you become intolerant and prejudiced in your views. When you unreservedely believe in scriptures written by unknown authors 1600 years ago without question from an ancient civilisation. You will know you are a christian when you lose all rationality and believe myths and stories as true and become part of a movement that has wreaked evil, hatred and war on this planet since its inception. Dont go there mate!!

There are things that are difficult to understand on both sides of the divide. It's just a matter of which set of explanations appeals to you and why. It's a personal choice and you are the only one who can make that choice.

You take the Lord in your heart as your Lord and Savior. Then ask for forgiveness. Read your Bible and live in Jesus. Have a personal relationship with God. Pray to him everyday. Live by God's rules.

Craig... You would know if you were...
***This is in memory of SisterZeal...wherever she has gone!
It's not just a "feeling", but, a commitment... you give Jesus and God your ALL...past, present, future....that means any hurts you have caused others on purpose or accidental, all hurts others had caused you, asking for and receiving forgiveness by stating it all to God, opening yourself wide open to Him...yes, He see's it all already, but, it is a test of faith by you vocally telling Him everything...every fear, every hope, every disappointment, every "love"....every want, every need, and so on.
How badly do you want to KNOW God and Jesus...and...are you prepared to give up anything and everything in your life, repent and not do it again, ask Jesus into your heart, be baptised in water, and to ask the Holy Spirit to do what He did in Acts and FILL YOU from Head to Toe with His cleansing, loving, POWER? Are you prepared to accept and ask for the Gifts of the Spirit, to have your cup running over , to be a child of God and brother in Christ to one and all, to pray for them, to help them, to do Spiritual Warfare with the devil to help them and yourself...to be asked by God to step out in Faith and DO what ever He asks to the best of your ability and love Him, study His Bible, and learn, learn, learn and someday see miraculous things and Know in your Spirit, the same one within God and Jesus and all True Christians that you are His because you WANT TO?
LOL...whew! THAT is a TRUE CHRISTIAN :)
God needs loving children and WARRIORS... someone willing to admit they are weak but let God make you strong... strong enough to be laughed at, ostracised, hated, baited, and love and forgive and face satan's workers or satan himself...
There are many False Christians...those whom want to glide smoothly through life with love and peace and joy and everyone get along no matter what as long as they don't get dirty or have to face all that tongue speaking, wierd supernatural stuff.
Well, they will be those that Jesus says "I never knew you".
Is that what you want? Are you willing to humble yourself before God and say Jesus is Lord and do with me as YOU Will?
Sorry folks, he asked. This is Truth. I love you all and pray for you all often, but, THIS is reality. Once you have the Holy Spirit in your life you won't NEED a translater for the Bible or even about yourself anymore.
God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are with you ALWAYS no matter what you are doing... you don't need to seek God anymore...He is WITH you
All the people here whom are Christians, haven't you noticed the difference in us? Even with your carnal, unbellieving lives, can you not point out whom is "different"?
LOL whom you can upset, and whom you cannot? I know you can. I've seen comments about many of the True Christians here...no matter what denomination or part of the world we are in...there's "something different" about some of us that you recognize but cannot explain.
Well, now you know.
God Bless you all and show you Truth :)
