It would seem the general consensus is "race doesn't matter", but I've found that digging deeper into this generic answer, race does matter in the sense that some white guys are afraid of what people might think if they date a black girl. So average white girl > undeniably beautiful black girl, more or less.
Also interesting to me is that the the vast majority of rich and successful black men date white women who are I'm sorry to say out of their league in terms of looks, vapid (so it's not a personality thing), and clearly into them for the money. It's a use-use scenario. Why do you think it's a status thing to have a white girl on your arm?
So anyway back to my first question, would you react differently to a black girl flirting or asking you out than to a white girl of the same-ish physical appeal (general terms). If so, why?

As a side-note, I am currently with a white Polish dude so I'm not questioning inter-racial dating as such, just searching for the general opinion on why white guys act differently towards a flirting black lady!

Another side note, I've never been in a situation as I'm describing. Neither has any white girl stolen "my man". I'm just interested in digging deeper, beyond the generic politically correct "I'm not racist" type of thing, hoping that people will really come out with something I haven't thought of before. This isn't a malicious question, so I'd appreciate some real answers i.e. no talk of "X girl stole your man"... Thanks :)

I don't care if the girl is black, white, latina, asian. they're all pink on the inside. if you don't find a successful black man, look some more.

I think that it has more to do with the white male and his back ground and the way he was brought up. It is impossible to generalize one type of white guy. Some white men were raised in different parts of the states, and with different types of views on african americans and interacial dating. My boyfriend is white, and loves black girls, he thinks they are beautiful. In fact he dated a black girl in high school. But then again i know white men that feel intimidated by black women or think it isn't right to date outside of their race. I personally believe that it is all about how they were brought up, the type of environment they were brought up in, and the people they were brought up around.

Good question. I would like to know the answer. It's pretty hard though, every guy is different. I think people say, "race doesn't matter" to not sound racist (even though they really aren't) by saying something like "I'm not into black girls."

Well since my wife is a Black woman i think she would get mad if another woman flirted with me, race dont matter.

Hmmm. I'm a girl. So I can't answer the first of your questions. But as to the black man wanting white woman thing...I'm not sure what it's about, but it's sure as hell true! LOL I've heard all sorts of reasons from females. (only I pretty much only know the black female view, which says (I can't believe, but actually says) that white women put up with more shlt.) I asked a black male that I know why he prefers white women, he said they're better in bed.
LIS, I donno...I play it safe and stick with my own race. :)

the ppl who say that race doesnt matter are liers because as soon as a situation like this happens to them..they act differently..it does matter! whether u wanna believe it or not..ppl say they aint racist but watch what happens when they have to deal with it themselves!
