Pitbull question regarding getting dogs ears and tail done(cut)?

would like to cut his years to make him look mean and also tail like most other pitbulls but the dog is almost 1 yr old and 60 lbs. Is it too late to do this work. if not, then where do I go and any recommendations for a reasonable price. thanks

A. Pits do NOT get their tails docked. I have no idea where you got that from.

B. If the ears are cropped it is done as a puppy.

C. If you wanted a dog with cropped ears you should have gotten one that was already cropped.

It IS too late. And trying to make a dog look mean is just silly these days with so many people afraid of Pits already. You should neuter the dog, train him and try to overcome his breed stereotype.

Dogs are NOT accessories. You should find him a better home if you don't like the way he looks.

If you want to do something with your dog to brag about compete in Obedience or weight pulls.

there is no reason to do this to your dog! Besides vets wont dock tails once the puppy is over 9 days old. They usually crop puppies ears at 3 monthes of age. But this is stupid and cruel, why would you want your dog to look mean? Pits already have a bad reputation.

It is to old. Why do yoy want to make your pit look mean, to add to the trobled the breed already have. People already think of them as devil dogs just read some of the postings here. Gee grow up and stop wanting a dog ake you look cool.

Way, way too late. The ears won't stand even if you crop them. The cartilage has hardened into position and won't stand on it;s own. It's too late to do the tail as well.

beside the fact what you want done hurts like hell and you only do that to puppies especially the ears, they are now too big and soft. They get along fine with a tail. They use it for balance when jumping or running.

On the bright side I know someone who can trim your ears like a vulcan pretty cheap, I'm sure your not to old.

I doubt that you will find a vet to do it at this point, but if you do PONY UP THE BUCKS!!!! It is going to be very costly at this age!!!!
The tail will scar and look like sh it too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
