The widow, definitely. The person that gives everything is displaying a faith in God than the rich person that gives from funds they don't need and can live without! Now a rich man that gives everything he has and places the same trust in God that he will provide, that places his gift on par with the widow's gift. I know God (and Jesus) are smart enough to realize that $1 million dollars is "more" than "a fraction of a penny", but the size of the gift isn't relevant...it is the sacrifice and trust that's important. The greater the sacrifice, the greater the trust and the greater the trust, the greater the reward!

The widow, because she gave everything she had. She gave it all up for Jesus. The rich might have given more money, but it was surplus so they really did not sacrifice for the Lord.

The widow. She had nothing, not even a husband, but yet she gave all. The rich man had much and then after still had much. But they will both be rewarded if this deed went unnoticed by people and only the person and God

Jesus tells us plainly in Mark 12:43, that the widow gave more than all of the others; because she gave all that she had. When we give unto the Lord, it is not necessarily how many thousands of dollars that we give that makes the difference, but how much of what we really need. Or how much are we having to suffer, because of what we give.

In quantity, the rich gave more.
Frankly, the widow should have saved her fraction of a penny.
I would never give all that I have.
Selflessness gets you nothing.

Jesus said the widow gave more, which suits me because I am a widow myself. But he made the point that she gave all she had. It was the percentage of total wealth that mattered to him. It may be the total dollars that matters to the church's financial officer, but it's the sincerity and the self-sacrifice that matters to God.
