I take it you mean convinced.

The question you are actually asking is: Can the divinity of the Messiah be proven from the Old Testament Scriptures.

We need to clear some things first. The authorities and most Jews regarded Jesus as a blasphemer. - that is why they had him crucified. It is only a few who recognised him as the Messiah.

One may assume that the role of divinity was assumed by the Romans, when Christianity became the state religion, but it is not a case of elevation but of substance.

I can think of three claims in the gospels that you may want to consider.

One is in John where Jesus says, 'You search the scriptures because you believe that in them you will find life, but these are they which speak of me.'

Another is in Luke, where after the resurrection, Jesus, is walking with two of his disciples, who, at that time, are unaware it is him, and he begiining from Moses, and in all the Prophets, he explains in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

There is in Matthew a quote from Isaiah, 'He shall be called Immanuel, which being interpreted is, 'God with us'

Unto us a child is born, to us a son is given.' Whereas the child is a new life, the Son given was from everlasting.

Never the less, God is, was, and ever shall be One.

I believe you meant 'convinced' not conceived.

Be that as it may, none of the biblical prophesies of the Messiah suggest that the Messiah will be anything else but a flesh and blood man conceived in the normal fashion by a man and a woman.

For a very comprehensive answer to your question, look at your local library for "The New Evidence That Demands a Verdict" by Josh McDowell.

Yes, Jesus claimed to be God, and I believe Him. The Son of God was fully God and fully man.

Here's one example of Old Testament Scripture that predicted the coming of the Messiah:
Isaiah 9:6 KJV--
"For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."

The Trinity (God being three-in-one: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) is a difficult concept for the human mind to grasp, but that is who God is.
God loves you!

Read the book of John for more understanding about Jesus, the Word of God made flesh:

Not only was the Lord Jesus Christ the Messiah he was the Resurrection, and at the mention of his name every head shall bow and every knee shall bend.
