Good question. Because he was/is not the God the father. There are so many scriptures and lines of reasoning that refute the trinity doctrine. Even the ones who say they believe in it admit that it was a man-made doctrine and has no scriptural backing.
"The New Encyclopædia Britannica says: “Neither the word Trinity, nor the explicit doctrine as such, appears in the New Testament, nor did Jesus and his followers intend to contradict the Shema in the Old Testament: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord’ (Deut. 6:4). . . . The doctrine developed gradually over several centuries and through many controversies. . . . By the end of the 4th century . . . the doctrine of the Trinity took substantially the form it has maintained ever since.”—(1976), Micropædia, Vol. X, p. 126."
The New Catholic Encyclopedia states: “The formulation ‘one God in three Persons’ was not solidly established, certainly not fully assimilated into Christian life and its profession of faith, prior to the end of the 4th century. But it is precisely this formulation that has first claim to the title the Trinitarian dogma. Among the Apostolic Fathers, there had been nothing even remotely approaching such a mentality or perspective.”—(1967), Vol. XIV, p. 299.

I'm not sure who's making the claim of the bible to be infallible...the only one who could make the claim of infallibility is Jesus. Jesus was the Son of God, to use familial terms man could relate to.

Excellent question and the fact is that he is not God in the flesh and never claimed he was. He, in fact, said quite the opposite: John 14:28... the father is GREATER than I am. Nope doesn't sound co-equal, does it.
And with all due respect, if that scripture at John 10;30 where Jesus says "I and the father are one" is proof positive that Jesus and his Father are the same person, what is to be said of this portion of his last recorded prayer? John 17:11 -Â “Also, I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world and I am coming to you. Holy Father, watch over them on account of your own name which you have given me, IN ORDER THAT THEY MAY BE ONE JUST AS WE ARE." Was Jesus saying that all his disciples also were one being?
The Jews did not understand Jesus to be claiming to be God. Quite the opposite. Jesus made things quite clear to them...
John 10:36 - do YOU say to me whom the Father sanctified and dispatched into the world, ‘You blaspheme,’ because I said, I am God’s Son?"
And these were his enemies. Why not accuse him of blasphemy for claiming to be God himself? They didn't do that.

Jesus (peace be upon him) is not God , but he is an honourable prophet of God , that's why he did not say " I am God" or
"worship me"
God is who created the whole universe , and created all of us and Jesus himself ,
saying Jesus as God is a worst crime against Jesus himself , as he was sent by God to teach people of " one and only one God" , who have no associates as God ,
we Muslims are the true believers in Jesus and all the prophets God have sent time to time for the guidance of mankind ,
Who the GOD is ,
In the Name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
1. Say: He is Allah, the One and Only;
2. Allah, the Eternal, Absolute;
3. He begetteth not, nor is He begotten;
4. And there is none like unto Him.
and about his qualities, read these 10 lines
(I have seperated this into 10 lines to make easy for you to understand),
- Allah. There is no god but He,
- the Living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal,
- No slumber can seize Him nor sleep,
- His are all things in the heavens and on earth-
- Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permitteth?
- He knoweth what (appeareth to His creatures as) before or after or behind them.
- Nor shall they compass aught of His knowledge except as He willeth.
- His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth,
- and He feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them,
- for He is the Most High, the Supreme (in glory).

How else to interpret this? "Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou [then], Shew us the Father?" (John 14:9)
The post above about Jesus being one with the Father is correct.
Next poster: The Father was greater than Jesus in position, stature, and physicality, when Jesus was on the earth, but not in power.

It's quite plain throughout the New Testament that is he God made flesh. They tried to stone Him for "blasphemy" for saying "I AM", rather than I was, I AM being what God calls Himself when speaking to Moses. Also, he is not God the Father, He is the Son.
