Of course, I wouldn't be happier if the atheists and agnostics were gone. Some of my favorite posters here are atheists. But if they were gone, I would talk with people of my own faith, and people of other faiths (you said nothing about taking away the Jews, Hindus, Wiccans, Muslims, and so on). If I wanted a Christian-only forum, there are plenty to choose from online. I enjoy learning about viewpoints other than my own.

well, it would be easier in the sense that we wouldn't have to be harshly criticized and mocked repeatedly. So, I would probably ask more nuanced questions about life with God. Most of the time, because I don't want to be ridiculed, I don't ask the questions that are actually on my heart about my relationship with God. It's sad actually. And I think the non-Christians are way more guilty of being incendiary and mocking than the Christians are. Sure, the Christians can sound accusatory and judgmental, but they don't go around making fun of every single question that comes up. So I don't necessarily mind that there are atheists/agnositcs on R&S, I just mind that I can't be honest about my questions because of all the condemnation and mockery I receive as feedback.

I could ask if Atheists would be happier too but I won't
because this forum is for Everyone. It's a shame that
some on it want to knock God down and some who
believe in God and want to knock the atheists down.
It would be nice to discuss without knocking it down
or insults. Like- okay, how do you explain this Christians
since you believe there is a God or how do you explain
this Atheists since you don't believe there's a God.
King James, I wanted to ask you something but you
don't have email. Let me see if I can find a Pastor
here.

No, I would not be happier, I enjoy a lot of the questions they raise. They make me think about how to express what I believe and why. And besides, Christians are commanded to evangelize. They couldn't do that if they only hung out with each other.
If no atheists were around, I would probably argue with Protestants about why they should be Catholic. And if only Catholics were around, I'd argue with them about why the old Mass is better than the new Mass. : )

This question is so limited and lacks layered thinking....
I personally look forward to atheist & agnostics question very often they are well thought out and seem itelligent.
All the proof in the world can not convience these folks to just simply take a leap of faith and understand that we are in fact interconnected and there is a force outside of what they can see.
I do not find them so hard just a bit flip at times.

The Bible says...
(1 Timothy 2:3-4) “. . .This is fine and acceptable in the sight of our Savior, God, 4 whose will is that all sorts of men should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth.”
(2 Peter 3:9) “9 Jehovah is not slow respecting his promise, as some people consider slowness, but he is patient with YOU because he does not desire any to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance.. . .”
So as a Christian, I would be going against God's will if I only talked to other Christians...that would leave an awful lot of people out, and that is not God's will, he wants them all to have an opportunity to learn the truth and make an educated decision about their future.

The issue for me isn't whether there are atheists or agnostics here. The issue is insulting questions that are repetitive and designed to provoke. And for the record, I mean on both sides.
I enjoy honest dialog with people who are open to other opinions.

I find the atheists and agnostics entertaining as long as they have genuine questions. I have actually learned alot because they force me to study up on the answers.
The ones i don't wish are the attacking either on the post or through emails. Those I could do without.

Not really,,,,But it is R&S
Perhaps those mentioned would be happier
chating in another catagory.
It seems logical for them to be ealsewhere, after all.
But than again where ealse can one find such an easy target
as christians to take out there frustrations on.
Sad isent it.

Heck NO!! I've been posting on here for quite some time...and I've never gotten a single piece of hate e-mail from an atheist. Never. Ever.
But I've lost count of the number of hate-messages I've gotten from "fellow Christians".
Imagine that!
