What do I think? I think I live in the wrong neighborhood, that's what I think. I get a beer-bellied-belching-bearded wonder and your neighbor's upset about a free Chipendale's show? I think I need a lawnmower and I don't even have a house...Briefs or Boxers ;)

Your neighbor needs to lighten up, and stop being so strict and intense. To call the police, because he/she saw someone's skin is stupid. Going shirtless while working outside in the heat, is a guy thing to do. If you don't feel like sweating in a shirt in the heat, then you don't have to. You weren't in a "shirts required area," so there was no need to call the police. Maybe your neighbor has a social problem, and doesn't know how to deal with things. Don't let it bother you. It was just someone's bad reactions, and it isn't your fault.

I am a guy as you can see, and I work-out shirtless sometimes. I'm either in a muscle shirt or shirtless, because I sweat when it is warm out ans when I'm working-out. A lot og guys go shirtless, when working in the heat, and it wasn't unuasal for you to do.

If you want to become more muscular, then start working-out and lifting weights. Guys who are muscular, are accepted to work outside in the heat shirtless almost anywhere. I never heard of a guys problem, of going shirtless in the heat. When you are in the heat working, just take the shirt off if it suits you. If others don't like it, it's their problem.

Wow, what was your neighbor on? I have a neighbor who weighs four-hundred pounds, yet mows the lawn in short shorts and bikinis nonetheless. THAT'S unwanted sexual exposure.

Everyone has their own definition of what is lude and sexual exposure. Certainly they went a little overboard on calling the police before they communicated to you their uncomfortability with your manner of dress.

But, now that you know, perhaps you might think about at least covering up part of your body. Like wearing a tank top or muscle shirt. At least in the name of being a good neighbor. Most of us, including myself, would want to retaliate by maybe wearing nothing but speedos, but you may be starting a feuding neighbor relationship.

If you know them well enough you might want to go over and explaining to them that you didn't mean to offend them. They, in turn, might be a little more flexible about what they consider "proper". It may be that the husband caught the wife staring at you or something like that. Don't immediately assume they just want to give you hell and get you in trouble without knowing all the facts.

But I would definately acknowledge the problem and try to come to some mutual agreement.

Good luck with the Hatfields there McCoy...

If I were you I would go to my neighbors without my shirt and laugh in their face. There was never a law in the US that said a guy has to wear a shirt outside, hell, I wish women could go topless.

HAHA LMAO!!!! ur neighbors are idiots!!

you can do w/e shirtless or pantless as long as you are not exposing private parts. even girls can do w/e like they do in their bikinis.

it's ur comfort level!! in other words it's all up to u and it differs from person to person. if you got the goodies to show, go ahead show them off if u r comfortable but yeah u made my day by putting this question up here. haha.

I agree with the police. I'm surprised that the police took your side. Ask for a copy of the police report just in case.

I can't stand it when guys are doing yard work, etc. with no shirt. I can't stand it when musicians perform on stage with no shirt.

That said, you have a nutty, nosy neighbor. That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard, really.

But wear a shirt, okay?
