Yes, hummingbirds are a challenge to shoot. I'd been trying for so long, and the wait finally paid off.
And yes, she is a pretty bird. Didn't need to ask.

Great capture! And that glow in the background sets up a very nice soft contrast or semi-sillouette. Excellent focus work too.

Great shot, how did you ever get the hummingbird to pose (lol). Good sharpness on the bird's body and the feeder, wings blurred to give a sense of motion -- just what you'd expect from a hummingbird.

I like this, Terisu! Especially the way the "fixed parts" are in focus (at least not blurred) and the wings are almost transparent because of the motion. Thanks for sharing.
And you know what else? Thanks for asking if we like the picture instead of asking, "Do you think this hummingbird is pretty?" or "What kind of bird is this?" It makes no sense what some people ask in "Photography" sometimes.

that's a great picture of a hummingbird...i got two pics last year at our feeder and they are good, but not as good as yours. i'll put it on my 360 page in the next day or so...
birds ar kind of a challenge to shoot well, i think...
you got some great detail...the little feet on the bar of the feeder and the little feathers...love it.
