What would be the closes train station to Totowa NJ to New York City? Also which Station would I want to take the train to, to go to New York City?

It looks like(based on mapquest, and a map of the entire NJ Transit system) that the closest train station to Totowa is the Paterson Station along the Main Line.


Using Paterson as your starting point, you actually have 3 options to get into NYC. Your first option is take the train to Secaucus, and transfer to a train that goes to Penn Station. Your second option is to take the train to Hoboken and transfer to the PATH train that goes to the WTC (for Lower Manhattan, Chinatown, and the rest of the area down there).
Your third option is just taking another PATH train that goes to 33rd street, making a couple of stops in Manhattan before it gets there.
