Most likely they would speak Hebrew or Yiddish. Judaism is a religion, not an ethnicity, there are Jews all over the world, and most speak the language of the country they live in.

Jews who were born in Arab countries speak Arabic. (Many Jews came from Morocco, Syria, Iraq, etc.) Just as Jews living in the United States speak English, in France speak French, so too the Jews from Arabic countries. All Israeli soldiers have to learn a certain amount of Arabic, and some units must be quite fluent in it.

Good question!

The answer is yes, they do - mostly in Israel.

Many Jews originate from Arab countries, but they were expelled, so in Israel you find many Jews from Yemen, Iraq, Egypt, and so on. They often speak Arabic.

In addition, some Israelis learn Arabic at school.

Outside of Israel, fewer Jewish people speak Arabic, though again, those from Arabic countries may well still hear it at home. They are 'Sephardi' Jews.

'Ashkenazi' Jews are those whose families come from Europe.

Hope this helps.

A Semite is a speaker of one of the many Arabic languages. The Hebrew Bible is written in both Hebrew and Aramaic. Hebrew was reserved for Torah study, and the people spoke Aramaic. So the answer to your question is yes, Jews learn two of the many Semitic languages in order to study their Torah (OT).

Hebrew is the language. Israelites/Jews are the people.

Thank you for your question. Many people seem to think a Hebrew is a person.

Yes, some do, those that live in Arabic speaking countries. Also, since Arabic is a national language of Israel, Israelis take Arabic in school. Jews will naturally speak the language of the country they live in.

Probably some do, but not many. Although Hebrew and Arabic are quite similar, the alphabets are completely different, so you can't really read one language from knowledge of the other.

The Israeli national language is Hebrew. Many European Jews of old spoke Yiddish, which developed as a combination of German and Hebrew.
