I made a mistake in my last question and referred to camber instead of caster. I was more interested in the caster of the steering because of the banking. I also noted that in the'70s Chrysler corporation used negative caster in their production models and Ford and GM used positive caster. I remember how my old mopars used to steer in reverse with negative caster and I was curious about the effect of caster on banked surfaces.

They all use positive caster. Negative caster causes poor high speed handling. The caster is different from left to right depending on the track to help the car to turn left but does not drop into the negative caster range.

That depends on the track they are running how they set up the car.up both front and rear wheels.
I know have heard the announcing about taking a 1/4 out or putting a 1/4 because the car was too tight or too loose. That is what they are doing.
They get the caster too much one way (positive caster) and the car will be loose. get it too much the other way (negative caster) and the car will be tight (not want to turn.)
It depends solely on the track and track conditions how they set the cars up. Sometimes they might negative caster on the right sit and positive on the left side to make the car handle better.
Of course on the road courses they run it is totally different setup than on the oval tracks because they have both left and right turrns on road courses.

CAMBER Camber addresses the angle at which a tire makes contact with the track surface. "Positive camber" indicates the angle of the tire is tilted away from the vehicle's centerline while "negative camber" indicates the tire is tilted toward the centerline. A typical oval track setup would have positive camber in the left front and negative camber in the right front to help the vehicle make left-hand turns.
