My employer eliminated my position two months ago.Now they posted the same position.I plan to reapply.If I do not get hired am I eligible for unemployment.
My last pay check from them is this week due to our contract.

sure, you're eligible for unemployment. They terminated you, not you quiting them. Also, depending on your age, you might have a discrimination suit on your hands, since they eliminated your job, and now they've recreated it again.

You should be eligible if your position was eliminated, or if you were just laid off even if they keep the position as long as you weren't fired for misconduct. Go ahead and apply.

Obviously if you get rehired so there's no break in the paychecks, then you wouldn't get u.c.
