When we were Kids we put black spray paint on the walls of a bedroom. It has been Wallpapered since but we would now like to paint the room a light colour! How can i stop the black coming through??

You need to use KILZ primer, but make sure you use KILZ Premium or KILZ Orderless Sealer/Primer. Those two are the best two Sealers/Primers you can buy. You can get those at Home Depot or Lowes.

An oil based primer should cover it. The spray cans of Kilz should work but be sure it's oil based. Water based will just let the black show through.

Use some paint. That should do it. If you can still see the black showing through, paint your eyeballs and contemplate how stupid you were to paint the walls black in the first place.

buy a spray can on Kilz primer, spray over black paint, let dry, paint walls...

paint over it with kilz primer you can get it at home depot or any local paint store

works like a charm

Put a sealer on it wallpaper paste might do
